Canadian Club Cake??

Does anyone know what Canadian Club Cake is at Le Cellier??

Canadian Club is a brand of whiskey. Therefore the Canadian Club Cake is a cake made with whiskey, very similar to a Jack Daniels Cake. Note that there is very little alcohol left in the cake after cooking, just the smell and bit of the taste of the whiskey.

it is a 3 layer chocolate cake w/chocolate icing. very rich!

I'm going to poke my food science head in here real quick - baking only removes about half of any alcohol added. Stovetop cooking removes almost none.

That said, this makes the cake sound more interesting. Not sure if I could ever give up my beloved maple creme brulee, however...
