Canadian Buffoon's Disney With a Teen Vacation - 08/13 - The Wrap

Oh yeah I forgot to say that your pot roast looked really good. I love pot roast, it's one of my favorite meals. The chicken was chicken. The best fried chicken is here in northeast Ohio in Barberton. It's famous! My DM and I are going tomorrow for lunch.

Also, Kay drags you on Stitch.

Hmmmmm..............so yeah.

I think I have fallen very very very far behind! :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
Oh well if you turn the points table upside down I'm totally winning! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I liked the pot roast, but I liked the chicken better.
Next time (if? when?) I come by, you'll have to let me know where.
It'll have to beat the Red Top in Winnipeg though,
and no one's come close, yet.

Also, Kay drags you on Stitch.

Noted.
(And I was wondering why you weren't trying for more points!)

Hey! What are you doing here?
Get back to studying Missy!

I promise I'll do a @Steppesister shout out when I post the next update.

(Seriously... Always nice when one of my mermaids pops by...
Now get to work!)

You're alive!!
Hi Lou!!!

Geez, I've been worrying about you! Where'd you go?

And yes. If you stand on your head, you are totally winning.
And I'll even give you some bonus points
if you send a picture of you standing on your head.

Don't forget to wear a skirt.

:rolleyes1

I'm old my memory's not so good. Plus having the flu for two weeks takes it out of you.

The chicken is in Barberton, south of Cleveland. It's a little bit of a hike so not sure you would want to go that far.

I'm old my memory's not so good. Plus having the flu for two weeks takes it out of you.

I believe you.
The flu part, not the old part.

Meh. What's an hour?
Guess it would depend on time of day, where I was going, blah, blah, blah...

Trying to get caught up around here!! A lot has happened!!

I had the Peanut Butter & Jelly milkshake.

That looks so good. There is never enough meals to try all the foods that you want to ...sigh...

especially Kay's, huge!

That chicken looked awesome!! But yeah..probably enough for 3 people....sigh...

Kay was really scared when we got close to the Alien part.

My DD was terrified of this part too...until after when it was over lol

Man that ride is fun!

So. Much. Fun. Just with the lines weren't so long. And it wasn't down so often lol

We grabbed some FPs for Fantasmic!

Wow - I didn't even try to do that because I didn't think they would be available as a 4th!

I thought it was pretty much Disney strategy
to leave the shops open as people left,

Yeah that's just weird...they coulda sucked a whole lot more money out of people...doesn't make any sense...

Bonus questions, round 4!
Take a flyer on our park arrival time.
Did we make rope drop or not?

Pick our three FPs! Nothing weird here, but there are a few options.

I do have a lunch ADR in the park. Where is it?
(Reminder. I was already well within the ADR window when I booked.)

What ride does Kay drag me onto against my will?
(I'm serious. I told her I didn't want to go, but she insisted.)

Good luck!

Ugh, been such a busy week! I've got a lot of catching up to do but I wanted to get in my guesses before you're next update.
I'm going to say you did make rope drop.
Your 3 FP's were 7DMT, Peter Pan, and BTMRR.
ADR for The Plaza.
And the ride you got dragged onto is Space Mountain.

Trying to get caught up around here!! A lot has happened!!

Really? Like what?!?
I know... I'm pregnant!

No. That's probably not it.
My ankles haven't swollen up.

That looks so good. There is never enough meals to try all the foods that you want to ...sigh...

So many meals...
So few stomachs.

That chicken looked awesome!! But yeah..probably enough for 3 people....sigh...

I don't remember for sure, but I think quite a bit of it got left.

My DD was terrified of this part too...until after when it was over lol

Much ado about nothing.
Still... they set the stage quite well...

So. Much. Fun. Just with the lines weren't so long. And it wasn't down so often lol

I've never seen it down.
Just lucky, I guess.

If it was down, I don't think I'd have a reason to go to that park.

Wow - I didn't even try to do that because I didn't think they would be available as a 4th!

It was the only thing available at 9pm.
And I guess only because it was the second showing that night.

Yeah that's just weird...they coulda sucked a whole lot more money out of people...doesn't make any sense...

It's just so.... so... Un-Disney!

Ugh, been such a busy week! I've got a lot of catching up to do but I wanted to get in my guesses before you're next update.

Not to worry... see next post.

Just a head's up folks.
I usually start working on the next update around now, but...

I'm behind on a personal project that has to take priority right now.
I'll be working on that for the next day or so.

So there'll be a bit of a delay in the next chapter.

And I cannot wait until you see how you react to it!

Yay for the delay!! I'm leaving tomorrow AM for Clearwater, FL to visit my DS, who moved there in August. I'm looking forward to seeing the theater he is managing--it's an old vaudeville house that was restored a few years ago. Clearwater is about 2 hours from WDW, and on Tuesday we're attending our first MNSSHP! :woohoo: We'll only be there for the day, but he has already bought his Florida resident annual pass! I'll be in FL for a week and am not sure how much I'll be online, so you have my permission to dawdle as long as you like before posting your next chapter! (You do dawdle, right? I love me a good dawdle. :tiptoe:)

Yay for the delay!!

Well, that's not quite the response I was expecting!

That sounds cool.
We have one here in Winnipeg that's been around for a while.
I do know that Charlie Chaplin performed there.
Ha! So that's something I have in common with Charlie Chaplin!
Never thought about it that way before.

Clearwater is about 2 hours from WDW,

Yup. I've actually been there...

Oh, about 1,000 years ago.

and on Tuesday we're attending our first MNSSHP!

Woot! All right!
You'll love it!

According to my DW, that's about all I do.

Once again, great updated! I read this last weekend, but it's been a long.. crazy week at work (even with it being a short week having the holiday off). Also wanted to think about my guesses

Say What! Max points!:cool1: Now if I could guess lottery numbers that good:-)! I will enjoy this 'ranking' while it last, too many choice for the next round.
Can't believe how many notes I took to comment this time. So here it goes.. chattering now.
Thanks for the butter dog story. Good chuckle at it but her doing it the second time really make me laugh. I'm sure our Lab would do the same thing and enjoyed the treat.

She did give me a sidelong glance when I asked for corn instead of the carrots, but she only gave me a little grief.

That would be me. Not a fan of cooked carrots. If I find them in soups or a pot pie I will either pick them out or eat them all right away first. I can then enjoy the meal with out the surprise taste of a carrot to ruin it. Love corn on the cob. Best part of summer when the fresh pick stands show up. I also have to have roasted corn at the state fair. Found a new favorite way of having it there too. They serve it cut in a cup with butter, mayo and parmesan cheese. Yum!

Kay had the chicken, while I decided to give the pot roast a try.
Both meals were tasty... and, especially Kay's, huge
They both make me salivate. Never been there, might be on list for trip. We could order both and "share"

She took some shots, because she's a smart cookie.
I didn't, because I'm a doofus.
Let's give Kay points for taking pictures and thinking of us. Seem like someone forgot what he was suppose to be doing on this trip.:rolleyes1 I will have to make sure I take the time to look around. Once again never been on this ride.SO many new things to enjoy next trip.
See the hat, cane and trunk?
In the pre-show video you can see them
Another thing to make a note of. Thanks! Love this ride.
and checked out the wait time for RNRC.
20 minutes! Sweet!
Love this one too! Can't help but think of it when I hear "Walk This Way"
She said. "Ooohhhh...."
Made my day... again
Sweet teenager being a kid
One of the little kids suddenly yells out "Run Mickey!!"
I cracked up.
Cute kid being a kid

I'd say you had a great day with Kay. Glad you finally got a room with two beds and hopefully a good nights sleep. I've heard people mention Body Glide before sound like a popular thing to have on hand. Have to make a note.

I remember reading Calvin & Hobbes in the paper (does that age me-I was a teenager). Always a hoot! I worked with someone who really liked them - He had a TATOO of C&H!
We used to (as kids) go to A&W where they'd bring your food out to the car
WE HAVE ONE TOO! It's in the city I work in. I work in southern Wisconsin but live in northern Illinois. It has the car hops in the summer but it's also a restaurant all year round. Frosted mugs with root beer! I know there are also a few more as you travel up WI and MN.

Wish I could say educated facts. But for the most part, here are my guesses:
You don't make rope drop. Not a highlight for a teenager. But arrive by 10:00
FP: PP/7DMT/BTM
ADR: You kept checking and grabbed one at BOG
Kay's ride you had to do: this was the tough one. IASW seems too easy. You may have done this of your own free will with your new method. I'm going with Teacups.
Slightly glad you are delayed by your next update. I was worried I'd be late to comment. But now that I'm done. Feel free to post away:worship:

Sorry!! I think something happened when I tried to switch the order of my quotes. You have to 'clink to expand' to read them. I get it right every other time. I promise to stop trying to quote or check it before I do!

I hope you get your project done but I'm another who is secretly glad there is a delay. I'm on the "2" of my B2B cruise so while we're docked and waiting for general boarding to begin (and most of the ship services are still closed down) I'm catching up on the DIS while I have cell service! So of course I came here first! :flower3:

Once again, great update!

Thanks! :goodvibes

I hear ya. We (well, I, really) decided at the last moment to do the turkey thing for Thanksgiving.
Glad we did. It was nice having (most of) the family over.

Say What! Max points!:cool1: Now if I could guess lottery numbers that good:-)!

You should've done it then!
Now if you max out again, and don't play the lottery,
you're going to feel twice as bad!

One never knows.

Buckling up... okay. Let 'er rip.

Thanks for the butter dog story. Good chuckle at it but her doing it the second time really make me laugh. I'm sure our Lab would do the same thing and enjoyed the treat.

I don't know of many dogs that wouldn't enjoy being slathered in butter.
And I could not believe it when she did it a second time.

I actually don't mind cooked carrots, as long as they're not mushy.
But fresh out of the garden, raw carrots? Yumm!!!

But I'll take corn (on the cob, which this was) any day!

Love corn on the cob. Best part of summer when the fresh pick stands show up.

I know!
I've been lucky enough to have Uncles or Cousins who at one point grew corn.
Always loved it when they'd invite us over for corn!

I also have to have roasted corn at the state fair. Found a new favorite way of having it there too. They serve it cut in a cup with butter, mayo and parmesan cheese. Yum!

Interesting. I don't know if I could bring myself to do that though.
I love it with butter and salt so much that I'd be loathe to try something else.

They both make me salivate. Never been there, might be on list for trip. We could order both and "share"

There's a combo plate that has those plus the meatloaf.
Just sayin'.

Let's give Kay points for taking pictures and thinking of us. Seem like someone forgot what he was suppose to be doing on this trip.:rolleyes1

I was busy concentrating on not melting into a pile of goo.

I will have to make sure I take the time to look around. Once again never been on this ride.SO many new things to enjoy next trip.

It's a fun ride... provided there are two of you.
Just okay by yourself.
The fun is in the competition.

Go early or FP it though... unless you enjoy standing in line for over an hour.

Love this one too! Can't help but think of it when I hear "Walk This Way"

Yup. Or "Love in an elevator".

I'd say you had a great day with Kay.

I did!
Hot... But great!

Glad you finally got a room with two beds and hopefully a good nights sleep.

Oh, yes.
There's no sleep like a Disney sleep.

I've heard people mention Body Glide before sound like a popular thing to have on hand. Have to make a note.

Stuff is great. I recommend it.

I remember reading Calvin & Hobbes in the paper (does that age me-I was a teenager). Always a hoot! I worked with someone who really liked them - He had a TATOO of C&H!

There's lots of people with tattoos, or stuff on their cars/trucks or... something.
Man that comic was great.

Mmmmm.... frosted mug root beer. Doesn't get any better than that.
I'll have to make a list somehow
so that the next time we're heading down that way...

I fixed It! Yes, cut and paste first quote messed it up.

And I never saw a thing.
It all looked good to me.
Still does!
