Proof positive:
There is no pursuit too trivial for a DisDad.

:rotfl: Love that one.

Well the same person won the last two games....

Hmmmm..... curiouser and curiouser.

And no.... haven't sent your prize yet.
Hope to on my next day off.

And that's September 6th I believe.

I just can't believe this thread was on page 199 last time I checked. You guys blew way past 200!

But I am wondering what we will hear about in 32 days or so...

I just can't believe this thread was on page 199 last time I checked. You guys blew way past 200!

Actually, that's a typo. It's decimal 200.
We started over and haven't made it back to one yet.

But I am wondering what we will hear about in 32 days or so...

Ah! She's getting warmer.
Dancing all around it figuratively speaking.

So... Are you joining the Podcast crew or are you joining Mom's Panel. Something we'll hear about...? Give us more clues.:worship: Wait, just thought, maybe you're becoming a moderator.

You want clews?

Not joining Podcast crew
(having never listened to a podcast
in my life, this would be difficult.)
Not joining the Mom's Panel.
I leave this to any of my mermaids
who wish to do so.
Provided they come home again
when it's time.
You won't hear about it....
but....

Not becoming a moderator.
How does one become a moderator?
No clue.

So... I just gave you one clue.

:sad2: Again? What's with your job
that no one likes to stick around
for more than a few days??

Well, the thing about the job is it is low paying, entry level. Once the glamor of the new job at the doctor's office wears off, they find out they actually are expected to work, WHAT? 3 Of them now have run off with a guy. Turns out this one is now in California with her latest fling. Not sure if she brought her son with her.

Questionable choices.
Designated Driver = good
No licence = bad
Maybe find someone who can drive
to not drink?

Crazy, I know.

Novel idea! Maybe you should publish that.

Nope. Not bored.
I'm fascinated by the people
you keep getting.

Now, I know you excused her
for the DD/jail offense,
but I'd be more inclined to
give her credit for the booty call!

:lmao:

Why yes. Yes you have.

There seem to be a lot of immature people in their 20' s who live with Mommy, who also takes care of their kiddos, and don't have any idea that life is not a TV show.

OK scratch that. Ruby will be kicking you out of the house and you will be sleeping in a hammock. :confused3

Work? Perish the thought!
Just give them money!
And maybe a nice car and house too.
After all... they deserve it!

kill me now.

And.... our DDs are too old for me
to take them to the park/play structure now
of course, but...

How many parents do you see
with little Johhny/Suzy on the brink
of a major injury
and they're sitting with their noses
in their phones?

arrrghhhh....
I started not wanting to take my kids
because I didn't feel like babysitting
all of theirs!

Novel idea! Maybe you should publish that.

I just did!
It's on the DIS!!!

There seem to be a lot of immature people in their 20' s who live with Mommy, who also takes care of their kiddos, and don't have any idea that life is not a TV show.

OMG. No kidding.
It's like a plague or something.

Just to nip this in the bud...

The Recent Developments.

No major changes to plans.

Still going solo to WDW for a few days.
Ruby & I still going to Banff afterwards.

That's why you have to wait.
We don't get back until the 24th.

But.

The one obvious conclusion
you should have drawn from the statement
that you'll hear about it in, uh... 29 days now,
is that...

You'll hear about it.

i.e. Due to some of those 'developments',
I'll definitely be writing a TR.

But then again, maybe some of you
thought that was already a foregone
conclusion.

It really wasn't.
I really am burned out.

But, well, as those 'developments' happened,
I knew I'd have to write about them.
And as the excitement with those
developments grew and as the trip neared...

Plus I'll be recharged after three weeks off.
I hope.

Now.
As to what those developments are....
Like I said. No major changes.
Hmmm....
Think more like:
"I made room in my schedule
to spend a few hours at Disney Springs."
(I didn't.)
or
"I booked the Behind the Seeds tour."
(I didn't.)
or
"I upgraded to the Grand Floridian."
(I didn't.)

Hmmm.... with that in mind,
you might be able to guess one
development, possibly two.
But I won't say if you're right or wrong.

On second thought... sure. I'll say.
Or maybe I won't.
Hmmmm... I'll think on that one.

I always weigh the cost.
"Tell them I'm doing "Behind the Seeds"
or surprise them with it?

Decisions, decisions.

Still going solo to WDW for a few days.
Ruby & I still going to Banff afterwards.

I thought that the Banff trip was next summer. I'm glad you clarified this. I was totally confused!

You'll hear about it.

So you're getting the band back together? :hyper:

i.e. Due to some of those 'developments',
I'll definitely be writing a TR.

Well that's good!

But, well, as those 'developments' happened,
I knew I'd have to write about them.
And as the excitement with those
developments grew and as the trip neared...

I still can't quite imagine.
Your DIS meet group booked a wishes/Illuminations cruise.
You're going to the Party for the Senses...
You added free dining, well no that's not enough to put you over the edge to write a TR.
Honestly I have no idea.

Plus I'll be recharged after three weeks off.
I hope.

I would imagine so. Well unless you get horribly ill or something like that.

I always weigh the cost.
"Tell them I'm doing "Behind the Seeds"
or surprise them with it?

I realize that no one is going to be swayed whether or not to read my TR based on suspense and what surprises I have at hand. In fact I rely on people reading because they want to know about a particular experience I may have planned, and how it works.

Also, and this may be even more important, I like person who writes a trip report that knows the difference between your and you're, their and there. Someone who can tell a story in a cohesive manner that is not confused by the over use of pronouns and includes enough detail so that the reader can envision the scene.

I suspect most folks are not here for the surprises you have in store, but more for the quirky manner in which you weave your tales, truth or lies. From the number of folks that have said they would read your account of a trip to the grocery store, you should realize that people are reading for your sense of humor and wit. It is just YOUR cruel and sadistic streak that likes to string us out and play these silly games! :lmao:

I thought that the Banff trip was next summer. I'm glad you clarified this. I was totally confused!

Oh! Sorry if I led people to think that.
Yes, the WDW trip will be followed by the Banff trip....
Like, right after.
As in, same month.

And now it's looking like another
Father/Daughter trip to Florida
is in the works, too.
(Although Uni, not Disney.
Kay's 16th birthday gift. Her choice.)

Plus I'm still hopeful for a cruise next year.

So you're getting the band back together? :hyper:

I'm on a mission from God.

Well that's good!

Oh, you like that, do you?

I still can't quite imagine.
Your DIS meet group booked a wishes/Illuminations cruise. No.
(Although for a second, I thought you were telling me they had.
And I thought, "Gee. They didn't ask me to come.")

You're going to the Party for the Senses... No. (although I thought about it, a bit.)
You added free dining, well no that's not enough to put you over the edge to write a TR.

And no to free dining.
It was an option,
but the room discount is worth more
(I think.)
I don't eat as much as I used to
+ I hope to hit F&W at least once.

Honestly I have no idea.

And it's extremely doubtful you'd guess all except two.
And even those.... one is a long shot.
The other, not really.

Plus.... Spoiler Alert!
Some were about the Banff trip.

I would imagine so. Well unless you get horribly ill or something like that.

There's always... always...
the spectre of throwing my back out
in the background.

I realize that no one is going to be swayed whether or not to read my TR based on suspense and what surprises I have at hand. In fact I rely on people reading because they want to know about a particular experience I may have planned, and how it works.

I seriously considered this.
I really did.
Let's say I did book "Seeds".
Would it be more fun for me to say I did
and have people wonder about what I thought of it
or.... whatever.
Or would it be more fun to surprise them.

I'm leaning towards surprise.

But I am tempted to say
""This" is happening. Details when I get back!"

But I'm not gonna.

Also, and this may be even more important, I like person who writes a trip report that knows the difference between your and you're, their and there. Someone who can tell a story in a cohesive manner that is not confused by the over use of pronouns and includes enough detail so that the reader can envision the scene.

There, there. I learned the difference in days of your... you're... yore.

But... cohesive?

:lmao:

And, I? Use pronouns? Me? You'd tell me if I did, right?
They wouldn't let me get away with that.

I suspect most folks are not here for the surprises you have in store, but more for the quirky manner in which you weave your tales, truth or lies.

Quirky. I like that!

Sounds way better than "stupid"
or "inane" or perhaps "banal".
(All of which apply.)

From the number of folks that have said they would read your account of a trip to the grocery store, you should realize that people are reading for your sense of humor and wit.

Awwww.... shucks.

It is just YOUR cruel and sadistic streak that likes to string us out and play these silly games! :lmao:

Correct.

Wait... games?
I already told you that you're going to have to wait for your prize!
It's culturally significant, you know.
Well.... some of it is.

Actually... I think it'll fit in nicely
with some of your souvenir glasses.
What with it being from Hawaii.
(Close enough. Right ocean anyway.)

Speaking of games...
I'll have to think of one
for the upcoming TR now, won't I?

side note.
Really appreciate the kind words Alison.
You just made my day.
And it's a long one.
16 hour shift long.
Just like yesterday!

No major changes to plans.
Still going solo to WDW for a few days.
Ruby & I still going to Banff afterwards.

Excellent! I was hoping nothing had changed there.

i.e. Due to some of those 'developments',
I'll definitely be writing a TR.

But then again, maybe some of you
thought that was already a foregone
conclusion.

It really wasn't.
I really am burned out.

Dude. Take care of yourself. Your well-being is much more important than a TR. But please keep us updated.

Plus I'll be recharged after three weeks off.
I hope.

Me too!

I realize that no one is going to be swayed whether or not to read my TR based on suspense and what surprises I have at hand. In fact I rely on people reading because they want to know about a particular experience I may have planned, and how it works.

Sounds about right. And the more you get to know a person, the more you want to know what's going on in his/her life.

Also, and this may be even more important, I like person who writes a trip report that knows the difference between your and you're, their and there.

:rotfl2: Someone who talks English good.

::yes::

It is just YOUR cruel and sadistic streak that likes to string us out and play these silly games!

Also ::yes::

Excellent! I was hoping nothing had changed there.

Nope! It's all good stuff.

Dude. Take care of yourself. Your well-being is much more important than a TR. But please keep us updated.

:rotfl:
This just kills me.
"Don't write! You'll make yourself sick!....
But don't forget to write all about it."

Not to worry.
I'm definitely tired right now.
But the weekends at work are easy,
so I'll recoup a bit then.
Well... until Sunday night,
when I have to work the midnight shift.

Sounds about right. And the more you get to know a person, the more you want to know what's going on in his/her life.

::yes::

:rotfl2: Someone who talks English good.

Pffft. Philistine. That's "Talks English gooder."

Dear Lord! Don't encourage her!!!
