Canadian AP upgrade question...

Hi all!
We are planing a trip to DL in August and by this time our AP's will have expired. So we are planning on buying 6 day tickets, so we can get the MM and then upgrading to DAP's.
My question is, if I get my tickets through flightcentre.ca can I still upgrade? The prices are $213 CAD for 6 day park hoppers. When I upgrade does Disney figure out the exchange rate and charge me for what I paid in USD? Can it even be done?

As far as I know.. as long as you use them at least once, they are at face value for what you would pay at the ticket booth. We got our kids passes through Airmiles (so free to us) and bought 3 day passes for the adults and then upgraded on the 2nd day (we used MM the first day). We just paid the difference between the ticket booth price and the annual pass price... we are from Calgary, Canada... so no worries about the exchange either

Just wanted to let you know that we recently upgraded to APs but in our case we upgraded from So. Cal passes (the 3 day park hoppers). We were credited $179 for each pass.

Thanks for asking the question - I wondered this also - we are from the UK and plan to do exactly the same in July for the same reasons.
