Hi All ~ After a 4-year hyatis, we bought seasonal tickets to Wonderland! We went way too often in 2001 and 2002, so we took a break. Went back today...had a great time! Maybe another DISmeet at Wonderland! Sandra

Can you tell us a bit about your day? I am taking my 2 ds's this weekend!! Did you see the new "stunt" show? Are the characters good?? What rides did you really enjoy!!! Ok....enough questions for now!! :rotfl2:

Hi ~ We went yesterday. The crowds were great...no crowds really. Our main purpose yesterday was to activate our tickets [I purchased them online]. We spent about 3 hours there and went on more rides than I thought we would.

Dragon Fire
Rage 2X
Nightmares
Fly 2X
Klockworks
Thunder Run
Vortex
Our son went on some kiddy rides too.

We were all rided-out, so we shared a funnell cake and watched Top Gun. Glad we didn't go today...it's cold and too windy.

We spent today looking at trailer parks in the Wonderland area...I'm all trailer-parked-out today too...heeheehee....S

We are visiting Toronto this summer and I was looking into a side trip to this park. Are there lots of things for older teens to do? My kids love the coasters and thrill rides.

There is plenty for teens to do! There is even a water park.

Try to go during the week when it will be less crowded.

We went 2 weekends ago and I couldn't help but compare the entire place to WDW and how lacking PCW is in comparison. We try to go once ayear as we tend to get free tickets from my MIL but this time we had to pay sorry but I will not waste my money there again unless I get free tickets I won't go back there. The characters were OK and ust OK the food was terrible the starbucks was watered down to almost no taste at all Caramel Macchioto it was not good at all. All teh rides we tried to go on all broke down with teh announcement of we are sorry for the inconveniance but we are unsure of how long it will take to fix the problem. It lacks theming all you look at is concrete and fences everywhere you go sorry for knocking it but it just isn't that great a place anymore.

I used to compare CW with WDW. But really, there is no comparision. CW has far better thrill rides, but WDW is better themed. Both are great! S

To be honest the only thrill rides I actually enjoy at PCW are the Minebuster and the wild beast the old wooden coasters the rest just don't do it for me neither does the waiting forever and a day for thier rides. Apparently according to the radio this AM PCW was purchased by six flags.

Ah see it was reported here on the radio it was 6 flags tells ya what the reporters know eh LOL.

I am so thrilled that Cedar Fair bought Paramount. Hopefully, we will see the kind of attention they give to their US parks!!!

Our DS's HS Marching Band was at CW on the 13th of this month. They performed at the opening of the park that day. What a thrill it was to see them (about 150) marching through the park. This year they also marched in NYC's St. Patrick's Day parade...so it's been quite an exciting year. Two years ago they marched at MK in WDW...we're hoping they go again when our DS is a senior in 2 years. As i've posted here in an earlier thread we really  Toronto. Can't wait to come back!

Way back when they announced the building of CW, they called it "Disneyland of the North" ... having been to Magic Kingdom at a kid in the 70s, I was pumped. Then CW opened and I was so let down! CW is a decent amusement park, but it's no Disney.

When I heard yesterday's announcement of Paramount selling CW (again!) I quickly joked "And to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of CW ... we're changing ownership again!"

So were we considering the weather forecast was supposed to be cold and rain all day LOL. All the cheerleaders bug me it isn't something I care for my DD to be doing but I have to say atleast she finally found something that is somewhat competative that she enjoys after trying almost everything imaginable now LOL. Mind you there wasn't nearly as many as there is at Disney for the POP Warner thing in Dec.
