Canadas Wonderland adding a record breaking 9 inversion coaster for 2025. IMO it looks to be a top tier coaster and one that will make Canadas Wonderland a destination park.

That park needs so much work.
I get a season pass every other year to go to halloween haunt and the christmas events for 2 years. I think when this year is up I'm done. They have added a ton of new rides in the last few years but all of them have been kids rides or roller coasters. Which is great for kids and thrill seekers. I don't fit in either catagory. They have excluded all those mid range rides for families and non thrill seekers. It isn't worth the price anymore

I agree with what you're saying.and if they want to be Canada's Theme park they need to add more family oriented rides.

In fairness they have tried in the past to add more family oriented rides and they don't draw.

Destination park ,,,hmm,,not in my books. But hey I have lived near by ever since it opened. Was even there preopening as dad did some work on it and had a staff pre opening. For what it is, it is great. But it has no entertainment anymore, long lines, unfortunatly teens running amok. There have been thefts in the park ( my godson had his sneakers and chain taken from him at force from a bunch if teens and the security said they could do nothing)
As old as it is,,,we still love going to the CNE every year and looking forward to that next week. It doesnt have the rides but does have the entertainment and excitement.
Now CW has some of the best coasters on the continent, and the best in Canada. I will give it that.

It does have entertainment. It has the mountain divers, an acrobatic show in the theater and a trampoline diving show in the bay in the middle of the park.

They are talking about adding a hotel in the next few years where the concert theatre area.

Yes the teens are an issue, but they don't want to implement a chaperone policy cause it would hurt their attendance too much.

I know teens give the park a bad rap but as far as the park goes ride wise they are similar to a Cedar Point or Kings Island. Somehow they manage to be a destination park.

IMO amusement parks are not big in the Canadian culture. Go to US parks like Cedar Point, Dollywood, and Hershey and the amount of families that pack those parks is crazy. The funny thing is they have similar ride lineups.
