Canada Resident Offer Ticket - Blackout dates?!?

I noticed that Disney is advertising a Canada Resident tickets offer good between May 16 - December 31, 2025. They are listed as 1 park per day tickets but you can add on PH & LL, which is good as we always want those.

I was thinking of buying these as they are coming up quite a bit cheaper than the tickets I'd normally buy, but they only seem to be on the Disneyland site. When I do go to buy them, it makes me pick a reservation date, and because those are only populated until September 11, that's the latest date I can pick. But the offer clearly states that the tickets can be used until December 31, 2025.

Am I OK just reserving the latest date and pushing it forward as dates come available? Normally I buy my tickets from Ares or Getaway Today, so I add them to my account and pick the dates once they come up. I don't want any nasty surprises!

I would call (and keep track of who you speak with) to confirm you can reschedule the dates forward to December reservations. And print out a screen print of the page where it says thru December. You may also find when you go to Buy the tickets the calendar presented will show more dates?

I called (and spoke to Bob!) who said that because the reservation calendar is only 180 days out, I could buy them, make a reservation in September and then change the dates when the ones I want come open. I figured that was true, but wanted to be sure.

Yay!! So glad it worked out. Is there much risk if the dates you plan for in Dec are not available for park reservations when the time comes? If you're staying on site, that shouldn't be an issue since you can pull from the hotel bucket.

Well, this is something I haven't seen before.... I bought the tickets, and I was in the app last night, and at the bottom of my tickets it has a blackout calendar. It shows the days before May 16 blocked out (fair enough, as the tickets are valid between May 16 - December 31, 2025), but also shows blockout dates from December 19th onwards! No mention in the fine print about this, on the tickets I received, nor even if you go on the website now as you can still buy these. I called them and they're confused; put me on old for a long time and came back to say they couldn't see any blackouts and that maybe it meant there is no availability that day, and that I should keep checking back. Reservation dates aren't even up for then yet, but it makes me pretty nervous as we always go at Christmas - anyone seen anything like that before?
