I've never had the patience to teach my dogs any more than the basics -- sit, stay, wait, shake, lay, drop it. I did teach my older dog to sit up on her haunches, and taught my younger dog to spin around a few times. But that little stinker! She'll ONLY do it for a reward. She won't do it if I just tell her to. I have to have a treat, or if she wants something else like leaving the bedroom in the morning.

Very cool! My dog is super smart and picks up new things pretty much instantly. We are working on just hand signals for sit, down, and wait (sithout verbal commands). She already knows verbal commands for sit, down, wait, leave it, go to your mat (when in the living room), go to your bed (when it's bed time), show me (she paws at what she wants), tell me (she barks at what she wants), five, shake, bow, crawl (she learned that after the first time doing it). We are also working on give it and drop it. Next thing she's gonna learn is to wave (as in hello and goodbye).
