...take an exsisting child hopper to the ticket booth and upgrade it to an adult hopper?
 
I would assume that only if it was not used and let's say you bought it thinking a kids could get in with it and you were questioned as to the childs age at the gate.
 
This past summer we went to WDW and I had 4 days left on a 10 day non expiring childs park hopper pass for my 10year old ( we used the 6 days the year previous when she was 9) All I had to do was take it to Customer Service and they changed it out for an adult pass, no charge!! I couldn't believe they didn't charge me for it!! HTH
 
Wow, that is cool...it IS unused and I think I will at least ask :) Can't hurt!
 

I should have just called the park (like I just did)...they are taking care of EVERYTHING!! LOVE DISNEY :)
