Can you walk villas to park at AKV?

Wondering...can you now, or will you be able to then, walk from resort/villa area into the Animal Kingdom Park?

When I stayed at AKL before I think we asked and were told it would be quite a hike.

See, I may have been tempted to consider AKV as an add-on, but we really love the convenience of walking into the parks from our "home". I understand some people prefer a more isolated area, but that's not why we bought into DVC. I think the convenience of walking into the parks is a HUGE selling point, and if I were Queen of Disney all future DVC developments would include this feature.

Thats us exactly. Even dredge a canal for a boat (that would be an attraction in itself) to AK or make a walkway and we would possibly add on there. Throw in some kind of night show as well at AK and then were talking.

There is no safe way to walk from AKL to AK. Thus there is probably no safe way to walk from VAKL to AK.

I'm guessing your home is BCV, and I understand your point, but you only have one park that is a short walk, Studios is quite a hike from BCV. So you still have to take some form of transportation to the other parks, or do you only spend your time at Epcot. The idea of being able to walk to the parks is one comment I read all the time from BCV/BWV members that I just don't follow completely. Guess I'm just missing something there.

We walk into Epcot and MGM. MGM is about a mile, but it's an easy and relaxing walk for us. We use the Monorail at the front of Epcot for transportation to the Magic Kingdom/dinner at MK resorts. Bus to Animal Kingdom. We don't typically visit the water parks, and don't spend alot of time at DTD. We don't mind the buses...it's a great form of transportation. But we love being able to walk into/out of a least two parks as we please.

Please limit AKV discussion to this thread At one point we had over a dozen similar AKV threads running. That makes for board clutter and confusion between threads.
