Can you walk to the other All-Star bus stops from All-Star movies?

Just wondering how long a walk it is from All-Star Movies to the bus stops of All-Star Sports or All-Star Music. I heard by the time the bus gets to All-Star Movies, it's standing room only sometimes, so I'm wondering if it's too far to walk to the other resorts' bus stops to get seats for the kiddies. Thanks.

It's not far at all from Music to movies...maybe a 5 minute walk or so. We had problems sometimes getting a bus from the parks to ASMo. and would often jump on the first AS bus that came along and walk back to our room. I'll bet we waited 45 minutes for a bus back from DTD, and finally grabbed a ASMu bus instead.

We stayed in the Mighty Ducks portion of AS-Movies and we found it quicker and what seemed like a shorter walk to wait for the busses at AS-Music.

Music is right next door to Movies.

Here are the All Star Maps:

Here are the resort maps so you can get an idea.
All Star Music resort is between All Star Sports and All Star Movies.

Yes you can. It is a short walk depending on where your room is.

We are staying at the Fantasia building. I can see how Mighty Ducks is close to All-Star Music. Is it a far walk to the Music bus stop from Fantasia?

If you look at the map Linda posted, you'll see that Fantasia is MUCH closer to Cinema Hall than it is to anything at All Star Music; also, keep in mind that Fantasia itself is merely a request. May 1, 2006 Disney changed the designation of the Toy Story and Dalmatians buildings to Preferred as well - so you could get assigned to any of the six Preferred buildings if that's what you paid for.

This is actually our favorite little secret! We have stayed in the Toy Story Building all 3 trips to ASMo and figured out early on that it is MUCH easier and faster to take the Music bus back at park closing.

If you look at the map you will see that Toy Story is all the way to the far side of Movies, but it is still not a bad walk from the Music Bus Stop, just across a lot and through the Movies resort. It really looks much further than on the map. And when you consider the difference is between standing ON YOUR FEET waiting for the Movies Bus for sometimes over an hour (or close to 2 if it is MK on a Spectro night!) or waiting 30 mins or less for a Music bus, getting on and walking just a few minutes to your room it is COMPLETELY worth it. We were in the room, jammies on, teeth brushed, and on our way to dreamland before we probably would have even been on a bus back to Movies on some of the busier nights (and we only go in Value/Off season times).

The walk back to the room is probably shorter than the walk was from the Castle to the bus stop.

And we weren't the only ones! In fact most of the people on the bus with us got off and started across the lot! No matter where you are in Movies, it is absolutely worth it if the wait is shorter at Music. Haven't tried it at Sports, but I would think during really busy times it would also be shorter. Remember, you will be standing waiting for the bus, so it is really no different than adding an extra 30 mins to your Park touring day. Would you have continued Touring for an extra 30 mins if the park had stayed open????

Thanks, lovetoscrap! How many minutes did it take you on average to walk from ASMu bus stop to Toy Story?

Anyone else have tips?

I consulted with DH and we both agree that it couldn't have been more than about a 10 min walk--and we were exhausted so we were moving slowly! Also, our room was at the faaaaaaaar end of Toy Story (near the parking lot). We will take a 10 min walk over an hour or more wait in line any day! Usually the Music line was EMPTY and we just hopped on the next bus that came in.

Really, truly the resort looks MUCH bigger and spread out on paper than it really is. You will cross a Parking lot/service drive area (not very big) and then be in the Mighty Ducks Buildings at the Pool over there. Then through the Dalmatians, across the main pool and you are there. It is actually rather scenic!

We had actually requested to stay in the Dalmatians building because it is closer to Music (Ducks is smoking that wasn't an option). We weren't able to get our request (had a group so everyone had to be accomodated), but were fine with being in Toy Story again.

Remember, this is our little secret! Don't be telling everyone about it!!!! :rotfl:
