OK - hoping that a code will come out to the general public very soon - never used one before - Help! Here are my questions...

Are they usually released first thing in the morning - if so, what time (EST)- I'm in a different time zone...I'll do the math...

Where would be the best place to find the code? Mousesavers? DIS?

How early can I call CRO? (EST)

Do I ask them to apply the code to my existing ressie? They don't cancel the original ressie and rebook do they - that would freak me out!

Will I get a new confirmation # and letter in the mail?

TIA :goodvibes

I want to know too. I have no idea how this works. Our trip is paid off allready. Can I apply the discount to a paid off trip?

I've been asking these questions myself because I'm in the same boat. This is what I've been told and have seen so far:

1.) it appears the code is released first thing in the morning (7 AM Eastern, which is also when the phones open) BUT will you be able to find it then? That's debatable. The AP code was known at that time but someone found the Visa code at around 10 or 11 AM yesterday.

2.) if you have a package already booked, you can apply the code and they will either refund the difference or upgrade you or both, depending on what you are looking to do. It would not change your reservation number or your ADR's.

3.) If you have room only, there have been different responses so far as to what they want you to do so I'm not touching that one as I don't know what is correct and which CM's have been snorting spoiled pixie dust.

4.) As to where to find it out, Mousesavers had the Visa code first, DIS had the AP code first, don't know where that poster found it (AP site maybe?)

Hope that helps (and if I got anything wrong, someone pipe up!)

I think CRO opens at 7am EST. This is the best place to check--if you look at the "AP Codes are out" thread posted this morning--it went up at 7:40am!

They can apply the code to your existing ressie if they have the same room available. Confirmation # stays the same, don't know if you'll get a new letter.

Good luck! :goodvibes

If they post a general code, can you use it to book via the Disney website?

Thanks!

Thanks for the answers! Looks like I will start checking Mousesavers and DIS early. Since I already have the trip paid for I would consider getting a discount with a code a major pixie dust event for us! :wizard:
Wish me luck! :thumbsup2

You'll need to call. It's the most prudent choice anyway when dealing with changing reservations and such anyway.

Good luck!
