Can you walk from Poly to MK?

We are saving up for our next Disney adventure and are thinking about the Contemporary or the Polynesian. I was wondering if the walk around the world or another pathway took you around the lake and to the MK from the Poly? Thanks

Nope. Sorry. That would be good excercise though... I suppose you could walk counter clockwise on the road to the MK from the Poly, but I don't think there are sidewalks in most of the roads. I'm guessing WDW security prolly wouldn't like that.

You can't. Although it looks like you can walk from the GF to the MK, the walkway does not go all the way there. You can walk from the Contemporary to the MK but you can't walk from the Poly to the Contemporary.

Technically yes, I guess, but I wouldn't recommend it. I only say this because my husband is a runner and came back telling me that he'd run over to the Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge (and it's easy to walk from the Contemporary. But there's no walkway or path and he was running on the highway.- he's insane.)

The monorail makes it easy to get there - and you can walk to the monorail for EPCOT which is nice, too.

From the GF to the MK, there is a canal that the EWP docks in and there is no walk way or bridge over this canal. If you look to your left on the monorail approaching the MK, you can see this canal and the EWP barges. As from the Poly to MK, counterclockwise, its a long long walk to the CR and before, security would not allow it because of the traffic and no walkways.
