My DH will not be with us the day we go to MGM. DS 9 & DS 7 have rode RnRC before and want to ride it again. The problem is I have another DS who is not tall enough. Can my DS and I walk my other 2 Ds's up to where they get on the ride and then we swing around and be in the store when they get off? Thanks

Sorry. Nobody who is too short is even allowed in the line. You will have to "baby swap" with your youngest.

Yeah, the fast pass CM will give you a "baby swap pass". You can wait in the gift shop for your party then go back thru the Fast Pass line.

I will not be baby swapping because my DH will not be with me that day. Can I still walk them through?

That is a tricky situation. My guess is that they still won't let your smaller child in line with you. At 9 and 7 they might be able to stand in line alone ... I think 7 is the age where kids can go on a ride without an adult. The line is not too long if you get a FP and you can always approach a friendly family and ask them to stand in line with your kids. I know I would not mind if someone asked me to do that.

If you don't want them to stand alone, you'll have to prepare them for no ride :(.

My sons are 9 & 10. I know they would buddy up and ride togeather. Once you are up the main ramp the wait is 15-20 minutes to ride. I would second that if you are comfortable with them riding alone, wait for them in the gift shop; wait with them in line until they are past the CMs. Do have a plan of where to meet if the ride has a breakdown; this happened twice on our last trip.

No, they will not allow a child who dosen't meet the height restriction to enter the line.

I was in this situation last year as the solo adult with my dd's. My oldest, then 10 yo really wanted to ride and had many times prior but my youngest wasn't tall enough. My 8yo was not allowed in the ride line at all, no way no how! FWIW, the CM understood my dliemma and was kind about it but he just could not do it.

My 10yo was ready to ride alone or with a stranger on the coaster but she wasn't comfortable doing the entire line alone so she skipped it. I did give her the choice as I could see most of the outside line and I thought she could handle it.

Sorry, HTH

I am not sure I would even let my kids stand in the line by themselves if you can't see them in the line...I know WDW should be a pretty safe place but I wouldn't take the chance. I do think asking someone if they could watch out for them...either someone in front of them or behind (I would for anyone) is a good idea...but make sure you get their name and take mental note of what they look like. It is a tricky thing when it comes to the safety of your kids. Also, what happens if they get up to the ride and change their minds to get on...or while they are waiting in line, they have to go to the bathroom and need to leave the line or something...I don't know...tuff call!

I was also wondering if it would be possible to ask an attendent, could you use the handicap area to let them on by themselves, because of the situation? Or maybe the fastpass lane, since the wait isn't as long and you could possibly see them as they are waiting better??

Good Luck...I am sure we all wish we could be there to help you out!! :thumbsup2

As others have said they will not allow anyone that is not all enough to enter the line. This is done for safety reasons.

I think they would be fine waiting in line if you are at the exit. I assume they know not to go anywhere but on the ride and to scream their heads off if someone did try to "take" them ( extremely rare) so really what could happen there are 300 people in line. I would try to go first thing in the morning less of a line. I would wait out side until the get to the building and then go inside to wait. As far as what happens if they change their mind they don't it is made clear once they are in line no matter what they continue to the ride, period, end of story.

You can always watch them until they go up the ramp. Just follow them in the line. I would suggest getting fast passes. Less time in line. Once they go up the ramp it is pretty fast to get into the preshow and then rather fast to actually get on the roller coaster. I think it is pretty safe if they are together. I would tell them to hold hands once they get into the preshow and until they get out of that room and in line for rollercoaster. People tend to lose their parties at this point because there are two lines filtering into one. Then you just have to wait in the gift shop right where they would exit.
