(tried searching on "waiting list multiple" and didn't get any hits...)

We're booked for SSR in Oct, but would like to stay at AKV or BCV (which I know is a longshot). I plan on calling MS at 9am at the 7-month window. If neither AKV nor BCV is available, can we put our names on a waiting list for both of them, or are we limited to a single resort waiting list?

I believe you can have two waitlist. Keep in mind that you need to waitlist at AKV for a specific category (since they have several different views, unlike the BCV which has 1 category). (AKV-standard view would be 1 waitlist while the BCV would be the second). So you need to decide what AKV view you are wanting to waitlist for.

the above poster is correct you are allowed 2 waitlists and each room catagory counts as 1 waitlist....we currently have a reservation at AKL and have waitlisted for a BLT studio water view and BWL preferred view at ms suggestion....since those views have the most rooms....but I am wondering if we'd be better off switching our waitlisting another view since it seems that most people waitlist those 2 views:confused3

Please bear with me, I'm new to the reservation process. You only go on a waitlist at a non-home resort if you're outside the 7-month window, correct? However, you can make a reservation if there's availability and you're in the 7-month window, right? Thanks!!!:confused3

You go on a waitlist if your inside the 7-month window and there is no availability. You just make a reservation if there is some.

For example. I called the other day looking for a board walk reservation at 7 months. There were no standards left so I waitlisted that. There were some garden views however so I booked that one.

Now what will happen is if a standard opens up Disney will switch my reservation (if I'm next on the waitlist) to a standard view and refund my extra points.

You can't go on a waitlist at a non-home resort outside the 7-month window.

At and inside the 7 month window, you can either book at a non-home resort or go on a waitlist for a booked resort (like BCV usually is in October...)

Thanks everyone for the responses...

nah, if it's not your home resort, MS won't even tell you if there is availability outside the 7 month window. you can't book anything nor waitlist anything.

And for AKV you would also need to decide which building. A one bedroom standard you will need to specify Jambo or Kadani.
