can you use the cuttlekids dies in the cuttlebug machine??
and has anyone seen them at the stores? i was just over at creative express and they have the cutest snake that ds would just love. i'd love to get it for him. dh and ds found a mother and baby snakes over the summer and i'd love to have it to do that page.

I have the cuttlekid dies in dino & pirate.
I used them in both my sidekick & big kick. Just need a little extra shimming. About two pieces of cardstock. Not much. Just the little bit extra pressure. So I would think they would work in the cuttlebug too.

i thought i read that Cuttlekids can only be used with Cuttlekids. But as previous poster stated they used it with side/big kick. I wonder if it would work with the regular cuttlebug? Has anyone tried to make it work?

I think what I have read says you can use the cuttlekids dies in the xuttlebug machine but the cuttlebug dies can't be used in the cuttlekids machine.

Rebecca- I have heard the same thing. I have not experimented with DD's cuttlekids dies in my cuttlebug though.

Joanns had the Cuttlekids dies along with the machine. They also have the Cuttlebug machine and dies.

the cuttlekids dies. i got the cuttlebug machine for my birthday. i have not seen any cuttlekids dies in any of the stores.

The only ones I've seen for Cuttlekids come in a 4 pack strip.
They are super thin, like quickutz thin.
In Jo-Ann's they were hanging on the bottom row of the cuttlebug stuff.
I got mine from my LSS when they were 30%.

I use pretty much any die in my sizzix and sidekick if it will fit. As long as it takes pressure to make the cut you should be ok.

I have been using the cuttlebug dies and embossing folders though

We have a very small J's here. They had Cuttlekids dies and one machine. They've never had Cuttlebug dies or machines that I've seen. I keep hoping it'll get better.

[I can't believe that in our area, there isn't a single Super J's. A worker told me it was all "politics", who has what area in their district that determines where the big stores go. The largest metro area in our state, and no Super J's? Sheesh! We now return you to your regular scheduled post.]

Anywho,the selection of Cuttlekids dies at J's didn't include the whole line. The display box had either six or eight sections, each for a different four-pack of dies. They didn't have any of the 2-step animal dies.

I was in M's the other day, and did see a Cuttlekids machine in with all of those aisle display of kids' kits for Christmas. No dies, just machines. The regular Cuttlebug section didn't have either.
