Yes, you can use your disney rewards. Go online and order the rewards that you want. They will mail you a card that looks like a "credit card". When you get on the ship, take that card to "Guest Services" and they will swipe it and add the rewards to your onboard credit. They will give you back the card which you will keep to add future rewards to.

Try to go to guest services early in the cruise. I went the evening on the 2nd night and they had already applied my charges to my credit card. They offered to refund my credit card and then I apply my rewards. I knew I would spend more so I just put my rewards towards future purchases.

Can you have the disney rewards applied to your onboard credit before you leave? I thought I read somewhere that you can call DCL and they can do this for you. Is this true?
