Can you use Disney Rewards as tips?

We are on the dining plan this year and most of our extra $ we spend is for tips at the restaurants...instead of carrying $300 in cash, can we use the rewards card or do you have to buy something on it first? How does that work? Probably makes a lot more work for the servers.

Sure you can. It is just like using a credit card or your room key for tips. You can also charge them to your room and pay off your balance with the rewards card.

That's great! How do you charge it to your room? Like a credit card slip?

We have done both - used the Rewards card for tips as well as charged to the room. Both worked well for us! I never carry cash...so I love these options!
