Now that the DS began selling the new ticket media, can you still use the DC discount there to buy tickets, or can you only use the DC discount for tickets by calling them?
Thanks.

Yes, you can. I am going this week to get my AP for $377.01 I will also be getting a 5 day Park Hopper Plus for my husband for $250.29.

There is no DC discount on regular PH passes anymore, only on PHP's. But you will get the advance purchase discounted price of $204.49 adult. That compares to the WDW gate price of $211.95.

Last night I went to buy a Child's 5 -Day Park Hopper and was told exactly "You cannot use you Disney Card because the tickets are already discounted". I paid, with tax, $183.18 for the ticket.

I also picked up the brochure and here are the prices:

Park Hopper
5 day age 10 and up $217 or at the gate $239
5 day age 3 - 9 $172 or at the gate $192

4 day age 10 and up $192 or at the gate $208
4 day age 3 - 9 $152 or at the gate $167

Park Hopper Plus (to mke it easy on me -- I'll list adults first and child second -- too much typing :D )
7 day $307 at the gate $329
$247 at the gate $264

6 day $277 or at the gate $299
$222 or at the gate $240

5 day $247 or at the gate $269
$197 or at the gate $216

Prices don't include FL sales tax of 6.5%

It doesn't say anything about AP.

The ticket we got was plastic like a credit card. Much nicer than the paper ones we bought last year.

Hope this helps!!

Belle0101,
There is no DC discount on Park Hoppers, only on the Park Hopper Plus Passes. That's probably why you could not use your DC card to get a discount on the 5-Day PH.

I just bought APs yesterday at the Disney store using DC card, total came to $377.01(includes tax) for Adult pass.

When you bought your AP's, did they give you the voucher still or is it actually an AP? Just wondering since, I will be purchasing them in the next month. Thanks!!:)

Forgive me but-- is there a benefit to buying in advance versus just purchasing on-site with the DC discount?

Yes there is.

Since September 9, 2002, you cannot purchase most park tickets onsite with a DC discount. The only park ticket that you can still get a DC discount on at the WDW gates is an AP/PAP. Other than that, there are no more DC discounts on tickets purchased at WDW.
