Can you use codes for DVC resorts?

There will be five of us travelling (2 adults and 3 toddlers). I am very interested in the villas at the DVC. (We need the separate bedroom for the kids to nap) I was wondering if the codes would be valid for the DVC properties or just the resorts.

I have seen them available on some of the DVC resorts in the past...mostly at OKW. But, it's not guaranteed, and they are usually in very limited quantity if at all (in my experience).

It was a general public code and we called the first day the code was released. I was watching disboards and mousesavers for any posts on this knowing that there are only a select number of rooms available for codes. I think it came out in November 2004 for Jan 2005.

At the time I called most disney resorts were available and of the dvc it was SSR, OKW and WLV. I thought that was good considering we needed 9 nights. We chose SSR....and was so pleased with it that we bought

We got the 1 bedroom at 290.00 night, rack was 350.00

At OKW a 2 bedroom was also available at 390.00, rack was 490.00
