Can you use a Disney gift card at restaurants?

My sister and I are going to WDW in August and we have the dining plan but we're going to be one table service short and I thought we could pay OOP for one breakfast at Whispering Canyon. I have several Disney gift cards and thought maybe I could use one for that. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks!

as far as I know you can, provided it is a Disney owned place.

Yes. Whispering Canyon is a Disney-operated restaurant and is located at a Disney resort.

If it is a Disney Gift card-yes
If it is a Disney "merchandise" card-no

Look at the card, if it says "Disney merchandise card" that card can only be used for merchandise, no food. Hope this helps.
