Can you upgrade your ticket like at Disney?

My husbands company is getting us tickets to either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure. We want to be able to go on Hogwarts Express. Can we pay $50 more to get a park hopper when we get there? Or is it different if it is part of a group ticket?

If you only have day tickets to one park, you can upgrade them to park 2 park tickets

That will allow you to do both parks and ride HE

As long as the tickets don't say COMP on them, they can be upgraded, just like at WDW.
