Can you upgrade your old PHP passes for a MYW pass?

Our last trip in November, we bought a 5day PLUS 2 hopper pass. We still have one park day and one plus day on those passes. It would of been all we needed for our next trip in September, because we will be on the 4-day cruise, and we had Thurs/Fri to use the passes. Originally we were going to drive, so we would of had to leave Saturday to be home Sunday. But, we found a great price for airfare, so we are now flying. I have extended our stay until Sunday, not to mention, we willbe getting in the previous Saturday morning, instead of late afternoon. So the Saturday before the cruise was going to be a pool/ Chef Mickey's day. But now, since we will be there by 10AM, we can make it a park day. So, it looks like I need 3 more day, or at least 2 more days on our passes.

Can I upgrade the old passes? or should I use them, and then just get a 2 day MYW pass?

If you need (one to) three theme park days altogether, use the old pass (one day remaining) as-is and buy a (2 day) pass.

If you need four (to ten) theme park days altogether, do not use the old pass at all but instead buy a new pass for your entire vacation. (More precisely, feel free to use up the remaining plus.) Save the old pass for a one or two day excursion in the future.

You can trade up the remains of an old pass towards a new MYW pass one for one, but the exchange rate is not all that great. Remaining plusses do not contribute to what you get with the new pass, and the new pass must have all of the attributes that were utilized on the old pass, specifically non-expiration. Since you used up some of the plusses, you must get the plus pack and, if you hopped with the old pass, you must get hopping for the new pass.
