Can you upgrade your dining plan?

We purchased the Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining, but I'm reconsidering and thinking we should have purchased the Deluxe package. Are we able to do that? And does anyone know where they list the prices of these packages? All I can find is to add them on to vacation packages.

You can upgrade the basic dining plan to the deluxe as long as you do it at least three days prior to check-in.

You'd be looking at 2009 prices. The basic dining plan is $39.99 per night per adult and $10.99 per night per child. The deluxe plan is $71.99 per night per adult and $20.99 per night per child (Children are age 3-9).

Info of PP is correct. Just pay the difference between the two. I did that and it was totally worth it if you like to eat. We all gained an average of 10 pounds on our trip (I'm not exaggerating!) It was so nice to eat anything I wanted. Just make sure you get ADR's. I saw so many people turned away from table service meals. Even if you have to call a couple of times a week- lock in those ADR's...If there is even a slight chance there is Free Dining, then you will be very sorry if you didn't get these made (we just got back Sunday).

We just got back yesterday, and the only thing that would have me consider upgrading next time would be that the first night we were so tired that we got room service. It takes two credits, but was so nice and relaxing, especially for two tired children from travelling.

If we did deluxe, we would schedule breakfast or dinner in the room a lot! You get way (way) too much food, but it was so nice and convenient.

The server who brought it was so kind - he set it all up, and when he had me sign the check, told me that I didn't need to worry - gratuity was included! I didn't ask - he just told me! I have ordered room service many places many times, and never had the server tell me it was included; usually they hope for a little extra. Since our bill was quite high, I knew he was gettting a very good amount.

We did blow through those snacks easily, so extra snacks would be nice. I let my kids get sodas and stuff all the time (I don't buy soda at home usually, so that was a huge treat).

I did find that even with regular dining, we felt like we ate a lot! And we don't do dessert twice a day normally - it was lots of desserts! Some places you can get fruit, which is nice!

We had free dining with the Visa promotion, so it was nice to try it out. Now I can see how so many folks like it; even paying for it would have been a huge savings!

If you will do room service, or some 2TS meals, I'd go for it. We left with one CS credit remaining, and really felt like we ate a lot! I'd also make sure you have plenty of reservations in place.

I am considering upgrading to the Deluxe plan, but even if we worked at it, i don't think we can eat that many meals since we usually don't eat breakfast and there are only so many 2TS restaurants.

Is it possible to get the regular dining plan for half your trip and the deluxe plan for the other half with out having to book two separate trips? That would be ideal for us, because at the moment we are 2 TS meals short for our ADRs. That's $110 OOP right there.

No, not possible at all

Sorry, you can't mix and match dining plans. You must book one type of plan per reservation, and everyone on your reservation must get the same plan. Only way to change them in mid-trip is to book two separate reservations, which can get tricky when you try to add tickets.
