Can you upgrade an old "non-expiring" MYW park hopper?

A friend of mine has four days left on a non-expiring 10 day Park Hopper that she bought a few years ago. She is planning to use it next month. I'm certain that Disney will honor the unused days, but I'm wondering if she could upgrade that pass to an annual pass, even though Disney no longer offers "non-expiring" tickets. If so, as a DVC member, could she upgrade that to a Gold AP -- and get the 13 months? Any idea of what the cost would be?

Since it was presumably first used more than 14 days ago, any upgrade or modification is a no-go.
