Can you transfer borrowed points?

I'm sure I could look this up, but it's so much easier to just ask here. I may be trying to combine points with someone else, who has points they can't transfer. To end up with enough for my reservation, I may need to borrow 3 points. Could I borrow, then transfer the borrowed points.

You can't transfer borrowed points. But you can have MS link two separate reservations so that you could make a reservation and the other person could make a separate one.

HBC's right on the money here. Just one thing to add: perhaps you want to go out and rent the three extra points and have them transferred inot your frined's account, along with your points. Hey, it's $30, plus the postage on th check, so no biggie; and very likely easier than borrowing, making two ressies, linking them and... This way, your friend makes one ressie for all of you, and it's done.
