Can you tell when your kid is lying?

Yep, my stepdaughter hesitates slightly when she is lying and her eyes get just a tab bit bigger. I know right away! Lately now that she is about to turn 13, it is getting worse.

Denial -- not just a river in Egypt.

My neighbor believes her kid NEVER lies. Really. They have a bond of trust and her child would NEVER lie to her because she KNOWS that lying is wrong.

The kid has her mother completely bamboozled. I have caught her in half a dozen "untruths". She is the same age as my older daughter and the upcoming teen years are going to be very interesting.
