Can you tell me about your solo TS dining experiences?

The 50's prime time cafe - my favorite solo place to dine, the staff is awesome!
Kona - very tasty and you get all the Hawaiian bread and macadamian nut butter to yourself.
The Liberty Tree - the staff not just my server kept checking on me and hanging out. So many refills lol
I've never had a bad experience going solo at a TS restaurant. Enjoy yourself!

I have dined solo a few times at WDW and never flet awkward. If anything, the waiters really take care of you.

I was most surprised at my CRT ressie since it was a character meal, but the nice family next to me kindly offered to take pics and I got a fab table next to a window overlooking Fantastyland. Of course, I was also done before anyone else in my timeslot.

The waiter at Rose & Crown was wonderful and even the chef comes out to speak with you.

I dined solo at Yak & Yeti twice and loved it.

Don't worry, from al the posters in this thrad, you know you'll do fine and you'll probably find dining partners!!

I'm heading back myself May 11-22nd.

I've done some solo dining and didn't feel weird or like people were staring at me. I think any place is fine for solo dining.

The meal I most enjoyed as a solo was Sanaa.

I enjoy my solo dining. I get to try places the rest of the family isn't interested in.

Boma - fantastic. Good food, good service, nice window seat as requested.

Le Cellier - ok. good food, service was overkill. The waiter kept coming over and flirting with me. As an older married woman, that made me nervous. Plus the seating was soo close to other tables it bugged me.

Chef De France - really nice. Good food, decent service at my table but the ones near me barely saw there server, seat near window. Seating was tight but not as bad as Le Cellier.

Yak N' Yeti - fantastic. Great food, great server, got window seat as requested. Really enjoyed my meal here.

Teppan Edo- fantastic. Great food, fun chef, great friendly people sitting near me. I don't know that I would've liked this one as much if I was seated next to some grumpy folks. LOL

I've got Coral Reef booked on my next trip. I can't wait to try it.

I bring a notebook and take notes on my dining experiences (and take pictures) in the hopes that I'll come back to the DIS and do dining reviews. Sometimes I do them, sometimes not. I need to get back on doing that. It's fun!

That sounds like a good idea. It's something I've always meant to do, but have never done. I take pics of all of my meals too. :goodvibes

The only time I've dined solo (before this upcoming trip) was in the parks when my kids ditched me. It's very pleasant dining solo. :)

I ate almost all table service on my solo trip.

I ate at:
Yachtsman (okay although the waiter did lose my order so I waited longer than necessary, but I had my Kindle so it didn't bother me too much)

Brown Derby (good, the service was good with them leaving me alone when I wanted but also keeping my drink full)

Flying Fish (the best!)

Kouzzina (at first the waitress was too attentive coming over couple minutes to ask me if I was okay--before I had any food--but then disappeared once I got food and ran out of drink)

The Wave (another one that the service was spotty and I was sitting in the middle of a bunch of families)

Jiko (I liked it even if I did feel that the waitress was a little too friendly--sometimes I just wanted to sit and read my book while eating not chat, but that's my own personal issue)

Boma (while I didn't like the food I loved the set up of the buffet)

Artist Point (perfect!)

Tusker House (not great for solo dining only because the tables are nowhere near the buffet--I don't like leaving my stuff at the table when I can't see it, but I didn't want to carry everything to the buffet with me)

LeCellier (okay, although this restaurant is so dark it's hard to read)
