Is it just a zoo with a couple of roller coasters?

I have a back problem and cant ride roller coasters, will there be anything for me to do?

In 8 visits to florida we have never been, and I am looking for new things to try in 2008. We dont drive so if we decide to go we are looking into the shuttle bus from U Studios. Although there is only one bus back @ park closing hence I am wondering if there is enough to fill a day?

Thanks
:goodvibes

I wouldnt go to the hassle of been limited to a shuttle bus for a trip to BG but that may be because I have been three times.

See here for my BG trip report with pics it may help you decide

Busch Gardens is far more than a 'zoo with a couple of roller coasters'! I think most people would be hard pressed to call it a 'zoo' at all. :teeth:

If you aren't going on any of the roller coasters (of which there are no less than 8, 6 of which are major coasters), you should still be able to enjoy any of several shows (KaTonga is particularly creative), 3 water rides, 17 animal exhibits, including the famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales and the wholley enjoyable viewing of Nairobi Field Station's permanent and temporary residents, some of them newborns. Rhino Rally is great fun (if you can do Kilimanjaro Safari you can do Rhino Rally). The Serengeti Safari Tour and the Animal Adventure tours are amazing, with up close and hands-on animal encounters. There are fairway games, musical groups performing along the walkways, impromptu animal encounters, and more.

Add in Beer School and Brewmasters Club for the 21 and ups and you've got a pretty good day in store. :thumbsup2

There is much more than just coasters the gardens are beautiful and the animals are kept in a much better setting than your average 'zoo'. It is much more safari like and you can get really up close to the animals. It also seems a lot less hectic than some of the other parks too. I'd say it's well worth a visit :)
