Can you tell me about breakfast at Boma?

We are thinking about eating breakfast there and can't really find any info. Most people say that it's great but don't really comment on the offerings aside from the Frunch juice - which hubby is gonna love! I went to the menu in Allears but want more of an experienced opinion. Can someone tell me exactly what type of food there is and is it really good? It says they have banana stuffed french toast - sounds yummy! Is that like the Tonga Toast I am always hearing about? How does it taste?

Also, do they serve dessert at breakfast? I so want to try these Zebra Dome thingys

I went to Boma's on this past Sunday before my drive back to Miami -- and was I pleased! First of all the Animal Kingdom Lodge gets a A++++ from me... I thought the decor was excellent.

When you walk in to the AKL -- you will need to take the stairs down 2 floors (or the elevator -- the lobby is elevated. I did not have reservations so there was a 30 minute wait which actually only lasted 20 minutes. So if you have a chance make reservations.

The food was excellent... that morning I had been hooping from resort to resort looking for a place to eat breakfast and was turned off by most of the counter services.

Then Boma appeared in my mind! It was the absolute best decision ever. I had 3 plate fulls -- and wanted more. You must try the pork loin with the gravy like sauce that is located next to it -- YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMy.

The sausages are actual sausage not the shriveled up pieces of "beef" you usually see. The bacon and eggs were good -- the waffles were yummy -- and everyone told me that the french toast was delicious...

I had an omlete -- which was excellent and my gf had most of the pastries and sweets and she said they were great.

Trust me worth doing -- your talking ot someone that enjoys going to Sunday brunches all the time and I rate this one pretty high... for the price.

You'll also find they have an excellent pork loin at the carving station!! And Kenya AA coffee!
Boma is always on our "must do" breakfast list..

I agree Boma has nice breakfast. The frunch is very good to.

My family and I just ate at Boma on Monday morning. The carving station had pork loin and ham. Both were excellent. They had all of the usual breakfast buffet items that you would expect to see and as posted above, the food was high quality. There was plenty of fresh fruit and many different types of pastries (the bear claws and pecan sticky buns were fantastic). They also had some kind of spicy African sausage gravy and biscuit dish. I liked it but it is not for everyone. I know that I am forgetting many other items. I can honestly say that it was the best breakfast buffet that I have ever had.

Oh my gosh- the Boma breakfast is SOOO good!!

You MUST get one of the made to order omelettes! I usually don't like eggs, but this omelet was to die for.

I was just about to mention the sausage biscuit item that Big Daddy brought up. It was soooo yummy. The carved meat was great, the fruits were fresh, and all the pastry was wonderful. They also had normal breakfast offerings, cereal, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, grits... SO and I totally agreed it was our best meal of our last trip (and we had eaten at such other places as Spoodles, Les Chefs, and Ohana but wished we had eaten at Boma again). It is a new "must" and I am just as eager to try dinner as well.

I've had breakfast there twice, it was super both times!

They had a ton of different items, both usual and unusual.

It's a two thumbs WAY up!
