Sounds like a strange question but with all the things you aren't allowed to take, just thought i would check. I am packing one suitcase with food, snacks, paper plates, bowls, plastic utensils, napkins, paper towels, etc. and then realized that make the plastic knives might be a problem with the airline, who knows tho. :confused3

Even if it were a problem, it would only affect carryon luggage. I don't see any problem at all, but there IS an official site listing prohibited items. A google search for TSA or airline restrictions would probably turn it up. Or some airlines may have a link.

A friend had to move her metal fork from her briefcase to checked luggage a year or so ago.

There seems to be no problem with bringing plastic knives on the plane any more (when I flew right after 9/11 they had removed them from restaurants at the airport). When I flew to Orlando last week they had forks, spoons, and knives at the food court in the airport. I brought a plastic knife on the plane to cut up the muffin I bought.

Plastic knives are allowed. Metal ones from your table aren't (Although personally I don't get it... Who hijacks a plane with a butter knife???)

Probably the same guy trying to smuggle his pool cue on board.
