I remember doing this many times in the past......but we haven't done it lately. Was thinking it may be fun on arrival day if still allowed.

Thanks!

I think you do have to have park admission...want to know also though to make sure!

In order to ride the Disneyland Monorail, you must possess a valid Theme Park Admission Ticket for Disneyland Park.

Main Entrance Turnstyles are located at the Downtown Disney District station, and you must present a valid Theme Park Admission Ticket to be admitted.

Guests riding the Disneyland Monorail from Tomorrowland to the Downtown Disney District should remember to get their hands stamped as they exit the station, in order to facilitate re-entry.

In addition, please take note that, depending on Operating Conditions, the Disneyland Monorail may be restricted to One-Way Only Trips, to Guests staying at one of the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort only, or any combination of the two. This is liable to occur at any time without prior notice. Please inquire with a Disneyland Monorail Host or Hostess for more information.

No, haven't been able to do that in quite a while. I do remember making such a trip or two.
