Can you stand another borrowing question?

I'm normally pretty good at banking/borrowing/etc, but my dad's in the hospital and I haven't slept much this weekend and I just can't seem to figure this one out.

I have a March use year, and I've used all of my March 2013 points and some of my March 2014 points.

I want to book a trip for August of 2014. This trip will require using the rest of my March 2014 points and also borrowing some points from March 2015.

My question is, when will I be allowed to borrow my March 2015 points? I want to make my reservation in February, right at the 7 month window. Can I make the reservation then or do I need to wait until March in order to be able to borrow March 2015 points?

I don't even know if I've asked my question clearly - I'm kind of in a fog today. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry about your Dad - hope he recovers and goes home soon.

You do not need to wait until March 2014 to make the reservation and can borrow as soon as you are eligible to make the reservation when your 7 month window opens.

You can only borrow points when making the reservation that will use them.

The online system will walk you through this or MS will do it if you choose to book through them.

Thank you! That was what I originally thought, but then I just got hung up on my use year and thinking I had to time making the reservation with that.

It's been a crazy weekend, but hopefully my dad will be home in a few days.
