In case it's not clear, you can't pay less to add a park hopper to just one day. $60 will get you one day of park hopping or five days (on a five-day ticket).
Buy the five-day park hopper now because it's extremely difficult (and sometimes impossible) to upgrade to hoppers after you purchase your ticket due to the reservation requirement.
Oops, I was wrong. We'll be there on Sunday but wont go into the parks until Monday. So that gives us 4 days instead of 5.
Do they have a special rate for a 5 day ticket? If so, we could go to a park on Sunday night.
1 day tickets have dynamic pricing (some days are more expensive than others), but the multiday tickets are always the same. A 5 day park hopper is $440 for an adult. A 4 day hopper is $420 for an adult.
I think it is $76 per day if you are 5-day (so $440 if you are getting hoppers), versus $90 per day for 4-day tickets, which is $420 if you get hoppers. So i'd add the Sunday and go to F!

But check other third party sites too. Undercover Tourist's discounted prices for 5day tickets are still cheaper than the GAT offer I have used both companies in the past and would recommend both.
The 5-day ticket is usually only $20 more than a 4-day ticket. GAT doesn't offer much of a discount for the 2 to 4-day tickets so by giving a bigger discount only for the 5-day ticket they are making it look like it's a "free" 5th day. As mentioned UC actually has lower prices across the board including the 5-day tickets.
There is a lot of good advice in this thread. Basically, adding the 5th day doesn't cost much, so you don't have to feel like you need to maximize your day. The hopper costs the same no matter what, so it's a great deal on a 4 or 5 day ticket. Enjoy your trip!
