Can you ship beer out of Canada into the US?

First of all I have no idea if this is even possible.

Question: Can you ship beer from Canada into the US?

This spring when my DH and I were in Banff he tried a beer that he really liked, Grasshopper Ale. Since we got back I've search high and low here for the beer, no luck. I emailed the brewery and they said they don't import to my part of the country. I wonder if they import someplace else in the US? hmm...

Anyway, I thought it would be a fun gift to try and get a 6 pack of bottles for DH for Christmas just because he liked it so much.

So, I guess my 2nd question is if it's possible to get a 6 pack of Grasshopper Ale shipped to the US, would anyone be willing to do it for me?

Hi Marilynn! Thanks for checking. I got an email from the brewery and they told me that Ontario was my closest location as they did distribute to Ontario. I'm not up for the drive to get some

Someone on the community board told me that you can't send alcohol in the mail. The ups regulations look a little more flexible, but they vary by state so I would have to check with a local UPS office here.

I guess we better plan another trip to Banff!!
