Hi!!! So I'm going to try Sci Fi on our next trip. It looks fun and the menu sounds good...those drinks sound so cool!!

Just looking for some reviews. Thank you!

Sci-Fi is so fun. We now ask to sit in the front seat so we can have a better view of the old movies. The food is always tasty. I love the ribs! The menu used to say that they were cooked w/ Coca Cola but now it doesnt say that. they're still just as good. the milkshakes you can get as your drink on the dp. we had such a great waiter last time! We cant wait to go back! it's a tough choice b/w here and 50s but for our next trip but sci fi wins. too bad we cant do both! Even though the salad was 'usual' my future DH said that it was the best salad ever, very fresh! I had the onion rings which was great but this time i may go for the salad. enjoy!

Hey girl!! Thank you. You are the second person to tell me that the ribs are good!

Been to Sci Fi twice and planning on it for next trip (kids will love it). The food is decent, nothing above a regular meal you would have out at a chain resturaunt (o'charley's, ruby tuesday's, etc), some of the entree's sound a little more spectacular but its just average food, nothing stands out as great or a must order. Its the atmosphere you are paying for. and not at too much of a price. We loved the movie trailers (saw alot of stuff from when i was younger) and the 'cars' you eat in. I would also request front row of a car for better view, but if it's not possible you will still have a great time. Both time's we have had great service (but havn't been in past 2 years).

We ate at the Sci Fi on our last trip to Disney and it was sooo good. I also had the ribs, they were really tender! The cheesecake was also really good. Our kids don't really like hambugers, they are more into chicken nuggets which they don't offer at this restaurant so our server asked us if we would like him to go next door and get the kids some nuggets! How great was he! We sat in the front row, right in front of the big screen. We can't wait until March so we can go back. You should give it a try.:thumbsup2

I also enjoy the sci-fi and I don't understand why it always gets such a bad wrap. Its not the best meal you will ever eat, but its better than most of the counter service restaurants, and I'd consider it on par with the Plaza in the MK. I was just there Labor Day weekend with my mother, brother, and his girlfriend. We had a lunch ADR for 12:45, showed up right on time, and were seated shortly. Our waiter was a bit odd, I couldn't figure out if he was trying to be funny or if he was just in a really bad mood. He was attentive and gave good service, but he just had a really strange attitude and was giving off a wierd vibe. We're go with the flow people though, and thought it all to be rather hilarious.

Our meal was paced well, so that we were about ready to leave when the sci-fi clips had done a full rotation. They were cute the first time, but I'm not sure I needed to see any of them again, at least not so quickly!

Our food was rather good. I had the smoked turkey sandwich, which was really good. It was heated so the cheese was slightly melty, and the avocado mayo was not overpowering, but gave the sandwich a little more interest than your typical turkey club. I ordered the cucumber melon salad instead of the fries, which I regretted. I thought that it didn't look very appetizing, and it was a wierd taste combination. They used to have a pickled cucumber salad that I really enjoyed, but this was a poor substitute.

My Mom and my brother girlfriend both got the beef and blue salad which they really enjoyed. It was a good portion size too. The steak was done meduim well, so it wasn't too pink, but not tough and chewy either.

My brother (being ever adventurous) ate the hamburger. He didn't have much to say about it, but it looked like a typical chain restaurant hamburger. I'm sure it was fine, a step above pecos bills, but no Le Cellier.

The specialty milkshakes, however, were worth the price of admission. There is nothing I love more than alcohol and ice cream and these didn't dissapoint! ;) I had the Marsha's Martian, which was really yummy. Not to much alcohol, but it did have a kick! My mother got the orbiting oreos and also thought it was great. It might be the kid in me, but I love a drink with flashing ice cubes. My mother got a cool blue one in the shape of a star!

I'm sorry I don't have any pictures, and we didn't get appys or desserts (other than the milkshakes) but I haven't had a bad meal there, and I've eaten there 4 or 5 times in the past 2 years.

YAY thank you guys!!! Can't wait to try it!

we usually get cheeseburgers/fries, with onion rings and shakes - i've also had their salads (pretty good) and the spinach/cheese/artichoke dip (could have had more of that!) - they've got an apple crisp dessert with ice cream that's good, also a chocolate tart - love eating in little cars, the dark interior, old 50s sci-fi trailers to watch, and it's so quiet in there!

Sci-Fi is a wonderful place. I got a Reuben which was definiterly good, and I could only finish half. The theming can't be beat, and let's face it, isn't that what you came to Disney for?

Just got back from the World. My husband & I went to Sci Fi for lunch last Wednesday. Personally, this was FAR from the best food at Disney ... not even close to the best in the park. We both got the ribs, which were mediocre at best. It wasn't horrible, but it was far from great. We had ice cream sundaes for dessert -- both were wonderful (can't go wrong with a good ol' hot fudge sundae!). It was fun and we had a great server, but to us, don't go for the food alone. If you're in Hollywood Studios, I'd sooner recommend Hollywood & Vine (advice: book the Fantasmic dining experience to be guaranteed a seat for the show) or 50's Prime Time (food's not great, but it was better than Sci Fi, PLUS you still get the fun feel of the show -- I highly recommend the fried chicken).

I love the Sci-Fi. I think the key to enjoying your meal is not to order anything but the typical all american stuff- burgers, fries, shakes- all really good, but I probably wouldn't order anything to "fancy" ya know?
I'm going next week and i can't wait to try the chocolate shake w/ pepp schnapps. Sounds soooo goood! It's a fun cute time- and if you go during the day it's kinda fun cuz it feels like it's night time under the stars.

Yeah that is called the Milky Way with the peppermint! Just saw that on the menu and DH was like OHHH that sounds good.

AmberLynnHawkins we ate at H&V before and didn't care for it LOL. I think we are going to book Prime Time in May!!!! It looks fun there too.

my experience there was horrible. i wont ever step foot in there again. the food was disgusting, the service lacked...well..service and the atmosphere just plain sucked. it was dirty, maybe they think they dont ahve to clean because its dark, well theyre wrong.
we ordered the ribs, they were dry, over cooked and bland. the chicken sandwich, the smell alone made me want to puke, i had to have it taken away. the pastrami sandwiches, my inlaws ate them but said they had no desire to ever eat them again. the kids each had a kids meal, but they didnt eat them. i dont even remember what they got.
we would have had better service if we got everything ourselves. we were constantly wondering where our server was. then when it came time to pay we had to ask another server to go find him.
at first the clips they showed were cute, but after the 5th time the loop played, i had had enough.

one thing that i would have changed is i wouldnt have sat in a car. i would have rather had one of those van type ones where there was a table in the vehicle so we would have ate together. it wasnt a very enjoyable dinner sitting behind each other. i perfer to sit face to face to the people im eating with so we can talk. talking to the back of their head was just plain annoying.

any way, yeah, i didnt like it at all.

HAHA you sound like me and my review of the POR resort LOL. Thank you for your review :)

Sci Fi is my favorite in all of WDW. It is an absolute must everytime for my family. The atmosphere is great! I love the cookies and cream shake. Lots of great memories for my daughters. We still laugh about all the crazy sci-fi clips!

Thank you for the reviews keep em coming!!! I'm so excited :)

We have eaten there the last 3 out of 4 times and love it. The shrimp pasta(can't remember the name) is out of this world and the kids love it. The last trip my girlfriend said it was the most relaxing restraunt we went to. We went to a lot of character meals and the kids where very excited. At SciFi that sat intranced by the moves. It was great.

This was a must do for us for years for dinner. But about 2-3 years ago they changed there menu and we were not happy and the cm we had last was so bad. I never had a cm that bad. But that could happen anywhere to.
Well we ck out the menu again last week and said it wasn't worth dinner maybe lunch but no way for dinner.

We tried Sci-Fi for lunch back in Sept. 06. We were really excited to try it out (for the atmosphere). Unfortunately, that's the worst food AND service we've ever had at the world, and I would never go back again. I probably would've given it a 2nd chance if it was only one or the other, but both the food and service were SO terrible, I just can't bring myself to try it again.

I actually think part of the bad food was a result of the bad service (food probably sat a VERY long time before being delivered to our table) but even if the food we ordered had been served hot & fresh, it probably would've been mediocre at best.

Sorry, just my 2 cents....

I definitely think you should try it. We have always enjoyed the whole experience you get there and I think it's a great lunch restaurant. We have taken many family members through the years and they have all enjoiyed it too. We also eat at The Primetime Cafe every trip and it is one of our favorites so I'm sure you will enjoy it there too! :)
