We have dinner reservations for LeCellier on our upcoming May trip.
It seems it has gone to "Signature" status and the prices have increased,so
heres my question....

Can I and my 12 yr old daughter share the filet, seeing how it is now 41.00? plus the fact our family will probably of snacked our way around the world and not need a huge meal.

We will be paying OOP, not on the dining plan. I know some places charge you to split an entree, and that ok, I just know she and I would never be able to eat two large steaks,so it makes more sense money and calorie wise to share.

Thanks

you can share.

But do keep in mind the "filet" is generally NOT a large steak. The high cost is not due to the size of the piece, but to the quality of the meat (super tender and juicy)

Many places the filet is only 4-6 oz of meat. If you want a larger steak to share, you might want to ask the server what the sizes are on the various dishes.:thumbsup2

I think I read where it is an 8 ounce for dinner, but Ill be sure to ask.
If I order an appetizer or soup, Im sure that will be enough.

My 12 dd loves all kinds of food, but she is tired of tired of kid meals now (dont blame her:)) not a picky eater at all, but she can never finish her meals out. When we are at home we always take them home for lunch the next day.( and fight over who gets it ) And I have been doing well on my diet and will not need a big meal either so this would work our great if we could do this!

:thumbsup2That sounds like a plan. And yummy...I'd love an 8 oz filet right now,:rotfl2:

be sure to report back...I'm still debating whether to give Le Cellier signature dining a chance. So far seems like the reviews are even with the new dinner menu it's not up to par. Maybe it will improve as it goes along and they work out the kinks.

I sure will, hopefully they will have the kinks figured out by the time i get there in may.

From my experience, places often charge to "split" a meal-- ie- the meal is dished onto 2 seperate plates in the kitchen . 2 dished plates are broought out, with an extra charge on your bill.

However, if you ask to "share" the meal with an extra plate brought out your server will bring the meal on one plate with an empty plate which you can then dish the original plate. No extra charge

Sharing charges might occur at restaurants where you live, like they often do here in the Chicago area. Menus here will state a sharing fee if applicable.

But at Disney? I've never been charged sharing a plate at any a la carte menu restaurants at WDW. I've told servers if I'm sharing, and they will split the plates in the kitchen.
