Yeah I think I will sell my reusable mug at the end of the trip too.

Hehe, I almost got my popcorn out for this one. I've never seen a debate thread die down at 3 pages... :rotfl:

Max, don't sell FPs, there, we're done. :goodvibes

EDIT: Guess not. Some people just can't stop fighting :confused3

Popcorn time, this thread is quite entertaining. popcorn::

It would definitely be easier than sellling it on ebay! :thumbsup2

When we were there last week, all the fastpasses to Soarin' were gone long before the park closed. We luckily got ours before they were gone -- but I'd certainly have bought them from someone if the only alternative was a 70 minute wait in the stand-by line.

Just because they're free, doesn't mean they don't have value!

However, while I seriously doubt anyone would buy them,

We *witnessed* a woman buying FP's from some guy selling them in front of EE a couple of weeks ago. A CM saw it too and got a manager who confonted the man with Security. They found the woman in the FP line, made the guy give her the money back, and he was escorted out of the park. (While people clapped who watched the nonsense going on!!) The woman was given comp FPs even tho she was in the wrong as well. (IMHO)

Yes they have some value, but why not just give them to somebody. If at some point during my visit I have a fastpass i am not going to use, I always find somebody to give them to. I love being able to help out somebody else, and i would never have ever thought to ask anybody for any money for them.

also, more than a few times, people have offered me a fastpass that they weren't going to use, and I love it.

I think the bottom line is, why can't you just be a nice person and give them to somebody since you didn't pay for them yourself. I guess it is all a matter of opinion, and what each of us feels is the right thing to do!

We've always just given them away- it tends to make people happy. I hope if someone did try to sell a Fastpass a CM would be alerted and the perpertrator carted away in shame. :confused3

One word answer ~ KARMA !

We have gone to Six Flags regularly for 15 years, often with extra free tickets. Every time I send my family on while I look for a family in line for tickets with big families, visitors from other countries or just nice clean cut teenagers, and offer them the free tickets. They are always so excited and appreciative, especially after I tell them they don't have to ride the rides with me :teeth:

If you have the ability to spread some pixie dust pixiedust: do it !

Oh Man! I'd love it if someone GAVE us FP's to say, EE! Or Soarin....That would be the best! :goodvibes

well, just to stir the pot a little... :stir:

An earlier poster said s FP have "non-transferable, not for sale" printed on the back, or something to that affect. If that's the case, then nobody should be handing their unused FP to other guests. That's a transfer. Isn't that a no-no?!

HayGan: I have had fastpasses that I could not use and have given them away. I actually had a hard time giving away fast passes for TT last year

I do have to say that I would definitely be interested in purchasing an extra couple of fastpasses FROM DISNEY for certain rides (Soarin' & Splash most noteably) if they were available!!! I don't see myself purchasing from some random park guest trying to make a buck off of them

I'm thinking that *if* Disney offered Fastpasses for sale, it would actually cost THEM nothing...nadda. The person (or people) who would pay the price are the people who have NOT purchased these extra-special fastpasses, as they are the ones who would suffer the longer-than-normal waits!

Whatcha mean???? They were right behind me at the FP machine and I put their little card in for them because their hands were sticky and out came the FP and I held onto it and now am giving it to them as I walk out the park?

I love to add pixiedust: to a trip to the most magical place on Earth, which is why I am very happy to share any unused FPs with people walking by. (Maybe that explains why on our last trip to WDW, we received FPs from kind strangers and some great CMs several times. Yep, I believe in what goes around, comes around!)
Be nice! Do something for nothing! It'll make your day! :sunny:

You people kill me. You have no problem with Disney taking all your money, but if it's a "some random guest" it suddenly becomes sad and greedy.

Hey, if it's against the rules, it's against the rules. But let's be honest ... if you have a problem with people trying to separate you from your money, why are going to Disney World in the first place?

Thanks for the laughs, everybody.

alright everyone lets stop feeding the troll.

I give them away all the time. DW doesn't like extreme rides like EE or SM, so we'll get the FP for these rides and many times decide to leave the park without going on them, so I'll usually give them to the CM attending the FP machines to give to whom they see fit or to people as I exit the park. It does come around at times as once a nice lady gave my DS a flashing light "thingie" that you put around your neck at night as we were walking in to see IllumiNations.

Excellent point!

I've read, on this board, that Disney applied for a Fastpass patent that could only be used by hotel resort guests, similar to Universal's. I hope that happens.

:confused3 My My How we love to flame!! I have come to the conclusion from reading the flames that.... 1. All ECV operators should wear signs statin g{" Ihave no feeling in my right leg and cannot walk My doctors note is available to look at! 2.Sugggesting that a perfectly healthy young person who is bouncing up and downmight give up his/her seat is totally selfish, poor parenting, and anti Disney 3.Selling a Fastpass is Treason. 4.Smoking in a designated area is punishable by banishment to Pluto How about the PollyAnna theory ... I.m GLAD ....I don,t need an ECV, that I gave my seat to help someone., that a keen business sense is alive and well,... that smokers are smoking in designated areas!!! Let,s put away the flame throwers and spread the dust!! :cool1: :cool1: :sunny: :goodvibes :dance3: :grouphug:

Disney dosen't take any of my money, I decide when and what to purchase from Disney and if it has value to me I pay the price. That IMHO isn't a fair comparison.

OTOH, lets use your term "some random guest" he/she may have just been to Universal where that version of FP does cost and he/she may pay you for what otherwise would be free inside the park. IMHO that is fraud at worst taking advantage of someone at best.
