Can you see Wishes from VWL?

Barely back from BCV trip and planning our PS's for the Dec's BWV trip! Want to visit VWL to see it for the first time and see it decorated for Xmas! I'm planning a PS for dinner at either Whispering Canyon or Artist Point. Can you see Wishes from Wilderness Lodge at all? Can't wait to see the one home (at WDW) that we haven't stayed at (yet).

Last year, we were able to see most of the Wishes fireworks from the WL parking lot (we always seemed to get home at that time), as well as some of the higher ones from our balcony at the VWL.

Last trip to VWL (2/04), DH & I had dinner at California Grill which was timed specifically to see Wishes. When the show began, the waiter directed us to the platform outside where we had a perfect view of the show and got to hear the music as well. The narrative w/Wishes really makes the show as it is timed beautifully with the fireworks.

Perhaps visit VWL at some point during your trip to see the decorations but get over to Ca. Grill for dinner/Wishes?

Your best bet for Wishes is from the beach next to the WL marina. We watched it from there in June and it was great.

We watched Wishes from the beach at the Poly in July. Good view, but no soundtrack. I was surprised that they did not have it. There were a lot of people out there with us. Much better show than Fantasy in the Sky, but nothing still compares to our Illuminations crusie on the Breathless. Two trips and the rest of the family has yet to see Fantasmic. I hope it has a long run also.

Someone mentioned the views from Calf Grill @ CR, is there any place there other than the restaurant? We saw it from the roof in 2002, but I thought I had heard that it was closed to the non-eating at the restaurant crowd, anyone know for sure either way?

remember the EWP - it comes by WL/VWL at 9:30 - at the polyn at 9:00 - except when the fireworks are at 9:00pm - then generally around 5 to 10 minutes after the fireworks
