Can you see Illuminations from Atlantic Dance Hall?

Our reception is from 4:30-8:30 at ADH this December. I was looking at the fireworks times for November (i guess the December times haven't been released yet?) and it seems like Illuminations starts at either 9 or 9:30 during Nov...which probably means there will be similar times in Dec.

My question is, can you even see the fireworks from ADH? It would be so awesome to end our reception by telling our guests to go outside on the deck for a surprise...but if the fireworks start that late, the guests would have to wait an hour or so. Our other option would be to extend the reception by an hour, but i have no idea how much that would cost. Anyone have any ideas??? If there's any way we could swing this, i just think it would be the perfect end to our night!!!

Illuminations starts at 9 almost everynight of the year. They move it to 9:30 in late Nov. and most of Dec., so it won't clash with the Candle Light Processional. As for seeing the fireworks, yes you can. You can see a lot of the fireworks, but the ones closer to the ground you may not see. Also, keep in mind there will be a break in the show when the earth has it's performance. So, when you think it is over it really isn't. You can also see the pyrotechnics from Fantasmic too, but there aren't so many that I would make a big deal out of it.

You can definitely see the fireworks... Epcot is just a hop away and its beautiful scenery when you are at the ADH...

hmmm so i wonder how much it would cost to extend our reception by an hour so it would end right as illuminations is beginning...if it's not too expensive that would be so fun! as long as people don't think that a 5-hr. reception is too long??
