I think I read on an older post that you can see the Epcot Illuminations fireworks from some of the rooms at OKW? Is this so, and if so, which buildings? We've got small kids and never make it over for those fireworks, it would be nice to catch a glimpse of them from our balcony if possible. Also, anyone ever do the activities at OKW with their kids? I think I read they have crafts and bingo, things like that. It sounds like fun! Thanks!

Not really.

Yes, you can see some of the high fireworks (and none of the low fireworks) far off in the distance if you happen to be in an OKW room where the view isn't significantly obstructed. In some cases, the view might be from the front entrance and in other cases from your balcony. Your best chances are on the third floor in a room on the west side of OKW -- but even that's no guarantee.

But even in the best case, you'll see so few fireworks and they'll be so far away that it shouldn't really be a consideration.

We saw the fireworks from a third floor villa in building 62 on March 31. They were surprisingly close, but since about half of the Illuminations action takes place on the ground, you have about 5 minutes of fireworks, then about 10 minutes of silence thena bout 5 more minutes of fireworks.

We saw some of the high fireworks from building 26 & 28. They were kind of obstructed by trees both times. We had a good view from Boardwalk standard view in December, we could even hear the music.
