We want to do breakfast at AKL but want to see the animals roam the property.

Which restaurant will enable us to do that?

What we do is after breakfast we go up to the lobby. There are 2 large porches with rocking chairs where you can see the animals roaming the savannah. Of course, this doesn't work if you're going to the parks. However, we always plan breakfast at Boma on check-out day, then go watch the animals until it's time to leave for the airport.

Thank you Simbas's Mom! Will the AKL staff say something to us if we are not guests of the resort?

Even though we will be eating at Mara's or Bomas for breakfast?

No, they never say anything to us and we never stay at AKL. They have no problems with guests from other resorts at activities. One night at the evening fireside talk, someone asked how to get back to Caribbean Beach afterwards. And I've gone over to the movies at the pool at Kidani, and no one asked me where I was staying.

No-one will know you aren't staying there, and countless people (both staying at other onsite hotels and offsite) visit the resorts to check them out. We always go to AKL and look at the animals, normally coupled with a meal, but have visited other resorts just to look around, so go enjoy yourself!

Just the two-legged kind. Sanaa is the only savanna view restaurant.

After dinner at Boma, we looked at animals with night vision sight devices. This was at a viewing area off the lobby. Pretty cool!

I think it would be best to go before breakfast.

You can see the animals from all over the lodge and you can walk out to the Savannah viewing areas when you arrive at the lodge. Check them out before/after your meal and have fun.

NO animals from Mara/Boma.
