Can you "reserve" beach chairs

While reading these forums I get the idea that when you go to DC and have a swim with the dolphins experience sheduled, you can leave your bag and other items you might want with you (the things not left in locker) on a beach chair? Is this what you do with things while doing the lazy river or snorkeling? This is an awesome resource for information and so glad I found it!

you won't have a lot of belongings,to leave,while you swim.
we only had the bag they gave us,with our snorkel in,which is what we put, our camera in.everything else was in the locker.
we just left that bag,under our towels,on our sunbed,all day.never used our sunbed once,only returned to it,for our camera!!!
