Received this question on our cruise meet Facebook page and am not sure of the answer. If you can't, is the earliest you find out your rotation at the port? They are wanting to go to Palo the last night of the cruise. Thank you!!

Yes- you can absolutely call and have a rotation request placed on your reservation. They will tell you it it not guaranteed, though we are 3 for 3 with rotations granted. And yes- you find out your rotation when you check in at the port. If it is not the one for which you were hoping, you can also see if it is possible to change, once you board the ship.

Thank you! It's a 3 night cruise and she wants to do Palo the last night. What is the best rotation she should ask for?

I would have them go online (DCL website or a google search) and check out the three different main dining room (MDR) restaurants onboard. She will learn a lot about ambience and can even preview the menus. Once she decides which she would be willing to skip, call DCL and ask for the rotation that has that restaurant on the last night.

Very interesting - I will call and see if we can add that...
I would very much like for Semi Formal night to be in RP on our 4nt.

I was going to request a private table (for 5pp, 4 + hc) but as friends may be joining us, and linking res... bringing us to 7 or 9, I expect we will have our own.
If we are 5, i will request private as well as a specific rotation.

Thanks for the tip.!

My cruise is through Costco. Do I call Costco or DCL to request? I would rather call DCL. Does anyone have the number handy? Thanks in advance!!! :flower3:

You should call your TA for requests. You can try to bypass them, but ....
Costco just calls DCL while you are on hold, or sometimes conferences 3 way with you.

Costco; (877) 849-2730

DCL main #; (800) 951-3532

HTH

I am booked through a TA. I called DCL directly to find out what nights would be what (Pirate, Formal)on our New Years Eve cruise. While I was talking to the CM she asked if I wanted to add a rotation request to our reservation. I had always gone through my TA for this before but since she asked - I added it myself.

Thanks!! I just called DCL with the number you provided and they were able to help me request a dining rotation. She never once asked if I had a TA or whatever. :thumbsup2

I requested a specific dining rotation or one that specifically had us in Triton's for formal night for our cruise last week....it was not honored. However, I did not let that ruin my cruise. We had (what I consider) the worst possible dining rotation but made the best of it.

What rotation - why was it the worst?
