We've been members since 1999 and our member cards have seen better days....the numbers are very hard to read. Can these be replaced? Who should I call? Is there a charge for this?

We asked MS a couple of weeks ago while making a reservation, and they said they would send new ones. We haven't received them yet though, and have received the reservation confirmations, so... :confused3

My husband lost his card once and we called and asked for new ones. It does take a little while, but they do send new ones. If you are going down before we receive your new plastic card, you can stop at the desk and ask for a temporary one so you can show it for your discounts.

Yep...you can replace them. Just ask.
I sent my hubby's through the wash!
:laundy: It came out in two pieces. The front was separate from the back!

The same happened to me when I went swimming at the pool at WL with the card in my pocket. It split in two. I thought it was laminated, but it really is just paper with stiff plastic on both sides. It did take some weeks before I received my new one from MS.

This made me feel better!!!! That I was not the only one to go swimming with my member's Card! I did it at home, wore the bathing suit all day, went swimming on our pool late in the day, was just lounging around on a float when I realized that something was in my back pocket, it was my wallet. I had to dry out all the content, but my DVC Card seperated in two, front and back. I emailed MS and the sent me replacement cards, Took about a month to get.

Enjoy!!!

My younger son (about 3 at the time) put hubby's card through the shredding machine. Wasn't pretty - we were able to order a new card & I got one too.
Don't recall how long it took to receive them though.

To add a question to this thread, we closed on our resale at the end of July, and then added on Aug 1. We have yet to get our member cards.
We have a ressie for the first week of Sept. If they are not here by then, can we get temporary cards at our resort when we check in?

I called to make a res in Jan today, and asked MS. She said she "pushed the button" to make the request for a new card. Hopefully we will get it before our trip.

I believe you get a temp card when you get your closing documents. It can take many weeks to get your permanent member card. In any case, your room key will state that you are a DVC member.

It takes 6 to 8 weeks. The cards actually come from a 3rd party vendor.

You can go to the Preview Center to get a temp card if yours still has not arrived.

You may have spoken with me... 'I pushed the button' is a phrase that leaves my mouth at a quite alarming frequency. :-)
