Can you rent BC Villas From Resort?

I was at another site and saw that you can calculate your stay at one of the villas....I'm confused. I thought the villas (ie., Wilderness, OKW, Boardwalk and BC) were only DVC? Am I wrong?

Disney retains about 4% ownership in each of the DVC resorts and can rent those rooms. They also have rooms available whenever DVC members use their points for other options- like the cruise, a stay at other WDW resorts, Concierge Collection resorts and Adventure Collection options.

60 days before any date, any rooms unreserved by DVC members is also released to Disney for cash rentals.

I'm not a DVC member yet and I've stayed in the Villas several times. You can get a good deal if you have an annual pass.
