Is it possible to change the the reservation from 8 to 7 people without losing it and having that person’s money refunded

Yes. Just go into your MY Disney Experence Click on my reservation. You will see your CTR reservation number and under that is says change reservation, click on that it gives you the date, time and party size just change 8 to 7 then click on search it will update then click the change and then done.

I haven't downsized a CRT reservation on MDE, but the OP needs a refund as well. Can this be done on MDE or is it better to call?
