"Get Happy", the life of Judy Garland is an excellent book. It's by the same author who wrote "Capote", Gerald Clarke. It's a good summer read and I have sped through it a few times.

Don't laugh... sTori Telling by Tori Spelling offers a really interesting look into growing up in a world of money and glitz and having almost nothing and no one but the nanny to count on. I wasn't much of a Tori fan previously but I have a new respect for this gutsy lady. It's a quick read and I couldn't put it down.

"escape" by carolyn jessop is fasinating if you have any desire to learn about the flds.

I read this one last year too and it was fascinating. I also read Stolen Innocence this year and it was also a very interesting biography (also about a young girl growing up in the FLDS as a child bride). Both were very fast reads and very interesting/sad/scary.
