Can you recommend a timeshare tour that gives free tx?

I'll be in Orlando in June and am wondering if there are specific places that people know about that we can tour in exchange for tickets to WDW. I have read many posts about people staying at properties for cheap rates in exchange for the timeshare presentation (with no intent to purchase a timeshare), so I thought that maybe I could just do the timeshare tour in exchange for tx. Any places that you can recommend?

Last year, I got stuck talking to a guy in a gas station who talked me into going to a timeshare presentation for discounted tickets. I got 3 one day WDW tix for $70. It was through Westgate.

It turned out to be 2 day tix because the woman at the window messed them up.

Marriott and Hilton. They were very low and no pressure at all. I know Marriott has booths in the lobby of the Fairfield Inn at Little Lake bryan (and probaly all of their hotels) and Hilton was at the Orlando Premium Outlet in a kiosk.

It's my understanding (from one of the guys at the IHOP "Tour Desk";) ) said that you can take th $90 cash, or choose various park ticket options, or dinner theatres, etc. And that "all of 'em" are the same.

It's various hooks - cash isn't going to appeal to one vacationer, but will to someone else.

We've learned not to say: "You're offering _______ to take the tour today?"

Rather, ask what their best deal is today. Who knows, they may be willing to negotiate that day to get you sign up...and don't fret about leaving a cash deposit. Make sure you get a receipt, and there's no problem to get your money back at the end of the "presentation".

Be aware that you may have to remind them about it though:)

HTH! and have fun! LOL!

We haven't done Hilton, but I definitely agree on Marriott. They have a dedicated building for this sort of thing on I-Drive next to Seaworld, very comfortable and they'll give you free breakfast and there's a playroom for the kids while you listen to the pitch. Then you'll hop in a golf cart and take a quick trip to Grande Vista which is a few hundred yards away. Check out a villa and the pool, and then grab your free tickets when you get back. It's painless, IMO.

I wish I would have known about them being non-pressuring. When we went to Westgate, they bugged us to no end and then brought over their supervisor over until we finally gave in on a special for the next year at Westgate TownCenter. I put down a $35 deposit and was to make monthly payments, but decided against it after we got home and wrote them a letter and got the $35 check in the mail within a month.

I will have to check out Marriott next year. We want to Disney next year after taking a year off and doing USF/IOA. We have only been to MK and AK.

I had done the Marriott 3 times - first time for the tickets - the other times for the cash... :cool1: :thumbsup2

they were definitely not hard core.

although not long one person did say he feel that Marriott was very hard core - even tried to get him to give up the money for a donation (of course it won't be in his name so he couldn't tax deduct it)....

I have NEVER had this happen to me with Marriott.

Thanks everyone, Marrioitt sounds like a good place. Can you walk in and take the tour at that time, or must you make an appointment to come back at another time. We have a free day and thought that we'd just drive over and get it out of the way at that time. Thanks

I don't know.

I have only done the Marriotts when I am staying there and they call me and set up an appointment....

so I just don't know. :confused3

Is the site in a building or is it in one of those stands that are all around Orlando. We would love to tour Marriot and get some tickets while doing it.

TIA
