Can you REALLY get in MVMCP at 4?

I have read several times on here that you can get in to the MK early for the party at 4:00. Not that I don't believe it but I just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly. If I don't go to the park that day but have tix for the MVMCP they will let me in early and then we won't have to leave? Why do they do that if it starts at 7:00? And I read they put everyone in Tomorrowland from 6-7, but what do you do there for an hour? Are the rides there open? I just don't want to get there two hours early and not get in.

Yes you can get in at 4. They start issueing the braclets at that time. If they waited until 6 to start giving out the bracelets in Tomorrowland a huge bottleneck would result. I'm not sure if the Tomorrowland attractions are open from 6 till 7. I was there last yesr but it was so crowded until they reopened the rest of the park that we didn't even try to check out the attractions. We did have our free family Christmas photo done during this time. The line was very, very long but the CM out front said it was only a 10 to 15 minute wait and he was right. Last year we had to fill out a form with our name and address and the photo was mailed to us a few weeks later. I'm guessing that this year people will be given a Photo Pass card, does anyone know for sure if that is waht they will do this year?

P.S. The turnstiles on the left will be exclusively for MVMCP entry as of 4PM. They will shut these gates down about 3:30 and reopen at 4. With the MVMCP ticket, you do not need to use a regular park entry ticket unless you want to go in before 4PM. If you are in the park before 4PM they will set up several locations from Town Hall up to the Castle hub to get your bracelet. At six they will start moving everyone with a bracelet into Tomorrowland and sending everyone else down Main Street to the exit.

Yes, in whatever town they hold people in for that hour between 6:00p and 7:00p (it varies from year to year), the attractions will be open and they'll be a photo place. This year for the MNSSHP everyone was surprised when the holding land was Adventureland & Liberty Square area. So you never really know.

They started doing this (letting us in around 4:00p) back around 2001 because of 9/11 and security checks and also they changed MVMCP hours. The park used to close for 2 hours and ran from 8:00p to 1:00a and they had those 2 hours to clear out the park and if you weren't eating in a restaurant, you didn't enter till 8:00p.

Anyway, it's unoffical and could change from year to year but they did let party goers in at 4:00p for the past few years and they are letting them in at 4:00p for MNSSHP this month so it's safe to say they'll do it again this year at MVMCP.

They do NOT use Photopass for the souvenir photo. You will have to fill out a form. You will also have to show your party ticket and they mark it so they know you've had your picture taken but you can keep the ticket.
